Thanks to the Universe for food combining. I learned it from Mr. Nelson, and have lived it for over 20 years, with wonderful results. No more stomach aches that sent me to the floor writhing in pain; no more diarrhea; no more constipation. And I don't have to buy pills or potions over and over again!

The Food Doctors Diet is the best collection of dietary advice I have seen concentrated in one source. It combines the best advice I have received from my personal doctor, nutritianist and much reading over the years as I have attempted to assist me in my control of diabetes 2 symptoms. It is eady to use, easy to combine into tasty meals and seems to be doing the trick in terms of maintaining a healthy blood sugar level.

I was introduced to the Food Doctor through a friend! It took what I already learned about nutrition and health, so that it all would make sense! There are menus, discussion of the importance of exercise and fluid intake [water], along with a plan for life-time eating that is easily learned.

No need for fad dieting once you follow the food doctor!

Tricks of the trade for crafty parents.
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 1 total.
Review Date: 2003-10-17
This book was written by a 6-year old (Devin Kopp) and his father (Erik Kopp), and aims to answer parents' concerns that they cannot get their kids to eat healthy food.

The book is a collection of tasty, healthy recipes which contain some "special" ingredients to add nutritional value to kid-approved favorites. Sometimes these ingredients are "undercover veggies", sneaked in without anyone realizing. The recipes taste good and are good for you. They are easy to make and fun to eat, and appeal to kids.

"Under-Cover Veggies" are vegetables in disguise, masked by tasty treats. The recipes in this book all contain nutritious ingredients, and taste pretty good. The recipes include chocolate chip zucchini cookies and yam burgers. The recipes taste good, are good for you, and appeal to kids.

Healthy foods that are appealing to kids appears to be a contradiction. But as Devin and Erik point out, "To be appealing, food must look good and taste good. Beyond that, kids don't care one bit what's in the food they are eating; you already know that. In the battle to win over kids, presentation and taste win". These are some of the tricks of the trade for crafty parents.

These recipes are also great for adults who may not be big vegetable fans.

Thank you so much for writing your book "Food Energetics"!I'm only on page 16 but already your information has touched me so deeply! Once in a while there comes a book that makes me feel like I've come home and Food Energetics is just that kind of book. You've taken me to an ancient long forgotten place in my soul that desperately needed to be re-awakened! A transformational process has begun with in me that I didn't see coming or think was possible. I'm no longer "doing time" in my kitchen, counting the minutes until escape. I'm seeing food and it's sacred presence with a whole new level of reverence I thought was reserved for others much more blessed than me. I plan on telling everyone I possibly can about your very important work. Now more than ever the people on this planet need this type of information!

Great guide to defining abstinence from compulsive eating.
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 1999-03-02
I was looking for help and this book gave it to me. After years of compulsive eating I needed a guide to direct my thinking and my emotions in relation to food. My personal relationships were not working. This book is a concrete guide to find a way out of the turmoil. It helped me to define boundaries and limits that really worked based on my own personal needs and preferences. You fill in the blanks and end up with ideas for your new life, putting food in its proper perspective.

I loaned this book out and never got it back. I've bought it twice and I guess I'll buy it again.Glad to see it's still available.

Pamela's 30 day journey into healthy lifestyle change is awesome. She walks you through many scripture readings as you apply it to your eating habits. I found the book to be inspiring and helpful in making a change that will last the rest of my life. She helps you to own up to things that you may never have even considered as a reason that you are unhealthy(over fat or underweight). I suggest going through the journey with others who are looking to change for a lifetime. This is not a diet.

Great Book -- This is a synopsis
Helpful Votes: 4 out of 4 total.
Review Date: 1999-06-22
This book is not only about food, but is also a thoughtful evaluation of what governs our food choices. What is your unique template in choosing how you will be nourished? This is not a small or casual decision. It encompasses life and death consequences.

As people today begin to understand better and more fully the importance of diet and its relationship to one's physical, mental, and spiritual health, the value of vegetarianism is coming into its prime as scientific research provides large quanties of information on the benefits to be gained from the plant world.

This book examines what current research is discovering about the benefits of plant foods and how this fits into nature's design plan regarding optimal body function and health of body, mind, and spirit. It also explores the criteria one uses to make food choices, and how what we eat becomes part of a much larger view of the way we see the world and our place in the scheme of things.
