Since I have horses, I deal with fly and mosquito problems on a daily basis. I purchased this book to learn all about my options for them-- what works, what doesn't. Though this book is intended for humans, the information does carry over. It is quite technical in places, but an easy enough read for those who are seriously interested in the subject. The knowledge supplied in this volume is vast and well worth knowing.

This is a technical book that shares the opinions and scholarship of the majority of scientists working on insect repellents today. It is organized logically beginning with principles, proceeding to methods, and concluding with uses. Any reader can become an expert on insect repellents by studying this volume and also gain access to most of the literature on the subject.
