Can't wait to actually get a taste of the law? Heard that civil procedure is the make or break first semester course? This book has LexisNexis printed on the cover and tells the tale of your typical civil suit (which is and always will be a car crash) in detail and is a well inflated case excerpt starting at the preceding facts of an action and finishing at the supreme court's final verdict with plenty of pleadings and motions in between. Think you can skip over those questions at the end of each section? Do so at your own peril; my professors loved to raise the questions found in case books' note sections in class. Answering these questions will help you make the painful transition from ingesting the law to applying the law, try writing the briefest answer possible in the margin. 120 pages of the tedium you'll face your first semester.

We had lots of fun with this book until the stickers ran out. Then we used real band-aids. The book does a good job of teaching how to take care of a wound but in a fun way.

'Assists' are physical and/or 'question/answer' interventions that help relieve pain and confusion. They are mostly used after injuries. These assists are simple to do. They are not meant to replace medical attention.

This booklet explains the most popular 'assists' and exactly how to administer them.

This is NOT a discussion on the assists. There is no theory, here. Just helpful instructions.

This is a good resource for first aid. It is small enough that you can take it in your pack with out worrying about space and weight. It is a little dated. It follows with NOLS Wilderness First Responder (textbook) by the same author.

This book is in the category of "must have" for every Black Belt and dojo-dojang owner. The thorough coverage of pre-workout stretching, diet and injury care is something that senior belts in every school should know. While I learned much of the contents of the book in my years practicing Tae Kwon Do, this book makes a very good quick reference, with great pictures of just how to treat most of the common injuries.

Very highly recommended.

This textbook does a fair job of covering the signifigant aspects of Bio-Mechanics. It is interesting that the chapters cover some theory of the subject and some current research summaries. If you are looking for a text on just the "engineering/math" aspects, this book may have too many other topics included. But for someone interested in seeing how the discussed concepts (bone generation, cartliage properties, etc) interact with real world research and findings, this book is a good example.

Shrawan split the topics up nicely, starting with tissue biomechanics and then on to specific body areas. There is a nice mix of industrial, experimental and epidemiological data presented. An enjoyable read to all from the student to the practicing ergonomist.

A good book but it would be nice if there was a self test at the end of each section. Not happy with the method of placing a suspected spinal casualty on the board. If the board was placed one third above the head it would allow the casualty to be slide up and into the middle, instead of pushing the casualty across the board and compromising the spine.

This book is very thorough in that it covers all of the recent research in the field of pediatric exercise science.The book covers all related areas in the field,and is a good reference.

Very clear and concise. Good clinical information for the practising clinician combined with a good biomechanical anaysis of the lower extremities.
