As their previous work, the second edition of this textbook presents a comprehensive survey of biomechanics in musculoskeletal system. I recommand it to all serious students who want to realize the fundamental knowledge about the mechanics of bone, muscle, and human movement.

A brilliantly readable book that is neither pop-psychology nor esoteric medical literature, but rather the clear-eyed insights of an experienced practitioner with sound and articulate advice to providers, teachers and parents. Shoudl be required reading for anyone dealing with adolescents who are cutting or engaging in non-suicidal self-harm.

I love this book especially the illustrations. The book has a wonderful rhythm and is fun to turn into a song using your own childs name.

Unfortunetly this book is out of print, but if you have had the lingering effects of serious injuries, it is worth the search

Well written, well organized, and fairly detailed book about the brain. Covers a wide variety of topics including brain: composition, functions, nerves, stem, disorders, and development. Has many interesting and colorful illustrations, brain images, and photographs as well as a bright and varied book design. There is a bibliography, extensive glossary, and thorough index. This book has led my family and I to a better understanding of the traumatic head injury of my father. This book enabled use to become more helpful toward my father and to understand his injury with a deeper knowledge. I recommend this bok to anyone with a loved one or family memeber with a head injury.

What a beautifully written book. Many blessings to Miss Jarvis. Her courage and determination through her journey of a brain injury is absolutely incredible. I have witnessed first hand the continuous upheavel a TBI can bring to a family. I wish this book had been around at that horrendous time in my life.

Brainstorming: Life After Acquired Brain Injury is a touching story. The author describes her life before her husband's brain injury and what has happened in their lives since then. She covers the aftermath of the injury including recovery, defeat, more recovery, new symptoms and coping (or at least trying to) with a life so unlike what it was before.

Acquired Brain Injury - it is hard to imagine something that can happen so quickly can have such long term affects. Through her experiences, Dora Camp offers insight, help and hope to those affected by ABI (acquired brain injury). There is a lot of tragedy with such an injury but, as the author so skillfully points out, determination on the caregiver's part could make a difference for the better. "Where there's a will there's a way," as the author states.

The last few chapters offer help and advice as found in Camp's search for answers and assistance with her husband's challenges. The book is obviously well thought out.

I definitely recommend this book to family and friends who have a loved one affected by this type of injury as well as doctors, nurses and anyone else involved in the medical community.
