I looked at alot of books to do my babys room and all looked to hard to do. I would have to hire someone. but can't afford that. But when I saw this book, what I liked was stuff I could do myself. I can,t decide which room to do yet cuz they are all so cute. It will be alot of fun.

i absolutely loved this book. my daughter is having her first baby and she and i have gotten so many ideas from this book. i love the way it is broken up into themes. the tips are great, the photos are great and very inspiring.it was one of the most comprehensive books on the subject that i've seen. i can't wait to put some of these ideas into practice. jeri clement

We borrowed this book from the Library and our 9 month old loved it so much we decided to buy it. Two months later and it is still one of her favorites. She would bring us the book, put it on the floor, and start clapping. It's a great book that I would recommend to anyone with young children.

My one-year old LOVES this book! She acts out what the babies are doing on every page -- putting on a "hat", making believe to brush her hair and teeth, clapping her hands, and waving "bye-bye". She is so proud of herself! I highly recommend this book.

This book is a must for all people who have anything to do with babies. It explains why babies and parents behave the way they do and where this behaviour comes from. Myths like "babies can be trained" are explained and disposed of in a scientific, yet extremely easy to read and often humorous manner.

Desmond Morris had a simple way of explaining things ... and presenting scientific evidence to help people understand ourselves. This cute little book is ideal for an older sibling who wonders how things will change when a new baby comes to live with the family. The book also includes a very nice, appealing portrayal of breastfeeding and how older siblings will still get Mama's attention while baby is nursing.

This book will teach kids that having a baby brother or sister isn't all that bad. This book shows that if children just wait, their baby sibling might actually be fun to play with when they are older.

As a single parent, I found this book invaluable. Now I am buying a copy for my sister and her out-of-control teen. Very practical, to the point, and applicable across all economic and social stratas.

Don't let the year the book was written make your decision to buy because the information that Dr. Ginott provides in this book is relevant to our teenagers today. He provides solid advice along with senarios of how to deal with particular situations. This is not a book that you have to read from cover to cover, you can start anywhere in the book depending on the situation at hand.
This is definitely a must have for all parents and educators.

Well written and easy to understand, Ms. Barber's book is a culturally relevant how-to guide that offers information, resources, and encouragement to do one of the most natural, nurturing acts between a mother and her child. Far from preachy or pushy, Ms. Barber gently gives useful tips, real-life scenarios, and even a history about breastfeeding, particularly in the African-American community. A great baby shower present!

This book provided a wonderful way to reflect on being pregnant and the many ways it impacts your life. While many books are available to discuss the physical changes and how to best care for your body, this one talked about the emotional, mental, and spiritual changes and how to care for your soul. Written in short "devotionals," the topics range from the silly (why you should feel ok in a bathing suit) to deep (handling fears of miscarriage). Since being given this book in my own pregnancy, I have purchased it for each of my friends who are expecting. Many first time mothers told me it also helped keep themselves focused on the miracle they were experiencing.

"Blessed Expectations," is a book that resonates with a woman during her pregnancy. The words are alive and have deep meaning. It is a joyful book filled with spirit and love. It is a beautiful gift for a mother-to-be, and a wonderful reminder for those who have given birth.

My 2 1/2-year-old absolutely loves this book. It is very fun and easy to memorize so he recites it along with me while I read it. Your child will love it!

This is a fun read aloud book for little ones (and big ones too). They really enjoy repeating, "Books are for eating". It takes no time at all for them to know when to say it.

A baby is born with a beard, and the story of his infancy from his eyes is in "Born with a Beard". Author Ted Ringer takes a look at families from the infant's perspective and in the process generates brilliant satire with his excellently compiled prose. Although not a picturebook, the illustrations of George Peters add a certain unmeasurable charm. The story is strong without them, but improved by their presence nonetheless. "Born with a Beard" is highly recommended for anyone looking for some light reading from a unique perspective, and for community library fiction collections.

It has humor, warmth, and a dash of wisdom. You root for everyone: Mom, Dad, Sister -- not just the Bearded Babe. It makes you think of your own childhood with a smile and a question. Could it have been like that? It is the perfect size; it fits right in your hand.

This book is so great! It is a short, easy to read guide to breastfeeding your baby. The title tells it all, "Breastfeeding: Pure & Simple"! Great book for first time nursing mothers. Highly recommended!
