Infant-and-Toddler-Health Books

This book is a wonderful resource for parents. It decribes how your child's vision develops and how you can support it with simple,fun games. Since we see best when we are relaxed, these activities help your child relax and to see more clearly and comfortably. There are also activities for you to do if your child is having trouble with their eyesight.

There are lots of serious books available to read during pregnancy, but this one is for fun. . .as long as you don't take the predictions too seriously. It makes a great shower gift too. It is inexpensive and leads to wonderful conversations. My personal favorite is the Chinese Conception chart in the back that claims to predict the sex of your unborn child with 90% accuracy!!! I found the results closer to 60-70% accurate, with my personal stats at 50%. Like I said, it is a FUN book.

Lots of good information that may save a child's life. This small book is excellent but I thought the author's other 2 books were even better.

Infant and Toddler Health Sourcebook provides basic consumer information about the physical and mental development of newborns to toddlers, from common medical disorders and concerns to immunization schedules, safety tips and advice for parents. While libraries will want to use Infant and Toddler Health Sourcebook as a basic health reference, many a parent will want to add it to a home collection.

I think this book is brilliant. I and every other girl received it during out AuPair Induction, this was 5 years ago. I am a wife and my husband and I are trying to conceive. If you want one single compact, IMPACT book on childcare, this is the one to buy. It covers from the basic layette, thru in-depth tracking of meals and health, and toilet training to nursery equipment checklists and home safety.

I presume this book was written with the eye on childcare institutions like day care centers, but I think it is perfect for first time, clueless parents as well as the "trained professional". You won't go wrong with this well rounded book.

My son received this book as a gift and hasn't put it down since. He loves to point to the dog on every page. He is not speaking yet, so I cannot ask him, but he appears to be interested and learning. If I find more books that hold his interest like this, maybe he'll enjoy reading in the future!

I actually bought this book for my son and d-i-l, expecting their first child. It was a book she picked, and wanted. I had it shipped directly to there house, in another state. It arrived promptly, in very good condition. They are both very excited about reading and learning alot of helpful information.

Cuando estaba esperando a mi pequeña Ema, tenía muchos libros que me explicaban el proceso del embarazo pero sólo este libro pudo ayudarme a aprender cómo cuidar de ella. Lamentablemente mi mamá vive lejos y no pudo acompañarme las primeras semanas así que puedo decirles que este libro fue mi salvavidas. Como está lleno de fotos demostrando cómo se baña, cómo se limpia el cordón umbilical, etc, en verdad deja muy poco a la imaginación y por ende no hay tanta improvisación. La parte del proceso del embarazo está bien, pero hay libros más completos. Sin embargo, los capítulos sobre el cuidado del bebé en los primeros meses de su nacimiento son invaluables. Imagínense lo que es recibir miles de consejos de la pediatra, las enfermeras, etc. sobre cómo colocar al bebé para amamantarlo pero nadie se había dado cuenta que yo tenía pezones invertidos así que la pobre Emita sufrió 3 días hasta que, entre llanto y llanto, llegué a la página del libro donde muestra los pezones invertidos y sugiere utilizar los protectores de silicona, santo remedio! Ema se "agarró" como se dice y fuimos felices desde entonces.
