This is an excellent book, written by two woman who have actual experience. It deals with the child's view of divorce/separation
and the effects of each level of stress and conflict. It deals with each parents' view and the level of stress and resulting
behaviour. Then they give information and advice on mediation, the court system (Canadian), and how to reduce conflict.
Just when you thought it couldn't be more informative they supply a list of contacts and phone numbers for families facing
divorce. CONGRATULATIONS Fabulous, families even broken families need to find a way to stay connected, and these two ladies
may have some of the answers.

Questing Home is the third installment in a memorable series. The books share the journey of the author in her search for
herself. Like many women, Marilyn was brought up with very traditional ways of thinking and behaving. She married young and
essentially put her dreams on hold to raise children and support her husband in his budding law career. A typical people pleaser,
her life was about making others happy and appearing perfect.
Somewhere deep inside, Marilyn realized something was very wrong. At the time, she assumed that the wrong was somehow her fault. That perhaps she wasn't doing enough or that there was something about her that needed to be fixed.
In the first book in the Questing series, Questing Marilyn, Marilyn goes away on vacation to Britain and Ireland with a group of women. It is during this time, that she starts to feel the first glimpses of her empowered self. Eager to share her newfound confidence, she returns home only to find out that her husband has been having an affair with one of her friends.
Book two, Questing France, follows Marilyn as she tries to rebuild her marriage. Marilyn wants a solid foundation for her family. Her husband says the affair is over and he's willing to work on the marriage.
As Questing Home begins, Marilyn notices some odd changes in her husband's behavior. Old patterns seem to be resurfacing. At first, Marilyn hopes that she is just being paranoid but she soon learns that the affair never really ended. In fact, the only reason her husband wanted to reconcile was so that he could get the upper hand in financial negations for the divorce settlement.
Questing Home, and indeed the whole Questing series, illustrates the inner strength that we all possess deep within. Without even recognizing its value, the majority of us tend to give away our power. We allow ourselves to be guided and even coerced according to someone else's agenda. We even accept emotional abuse without a second thought.
But, as Marilyn teaches us, we have a choice. We can stand up to bullying. We can speak our truth. We can build something better. Thank you, Marilyn!

This book deserves to be much better known and widely read. The author describes the early years of her life, her attempts
to realize her own strengths, and most particularly her battles to claim a life of her own (and care of her two children)
from an imperious and controlling husband and a prejudiced legal system . The style is deceptively simple but the tone of
the book ranges from charming and funny to harrowing and scary, and the impact is often deeply moving.

"Relationships" shares stories about love between people just like us - people who are human, looking for love, for a sympathetic
shoulder. They may be homeless, poor - but each of us lives just a paycheck away from the same fate.
In "Dansing," we meet a young woman, Iona, who attends a dance where Pinkie stands, wearing a suit. The author beautifully describes Iona's special night preparations, from the antics of her two best friends to the search for the perfect dance boots, a trek which takes the three woman from thrift store to thrift store.
The author reveals the main characters' poverty through description, not by beating the reader over the head. Yes, these people are poor. But they live their lives with dignity and beauty, with more than a little humor.
This is a wonderful collection, sure to give the reader cause to ponder his or her own life, give the reader reason to give thanks for all loving relationships.

I first picked up this book and decided to read it by judging it's cover. I saw a picture of Paris, and since I liked European
travel, I decided to check it out. It's a great story with believable characters, and you can actually feel what the main
character is feeling. You get great descriptions, along with suprises along the way, and you actually feel like you are
along on the trip with Berkely. It's filled with drama , action, and romance, and overall is an excellent book. (I've read
it like, 18 times, and never get tired!)

I read this book when I was writing my disstertation for the University. I found it both competent, giving facts and details,
and also entertainig. Extremely well-written it is a book that gives the reader a deep insight into British society and its
customs.

A great story. I found it to be a very unique and insightful. The story was fun, light hearted, and yet serious. It was
a very quick read. I found I just wanted to keep reading. It would make a great edition to any high school reading list.
Another good addition for a high school reading list is Road To College, also by Kathryn L. Krueger.

Well crafted gentle story about a young child going between home with Mom and home with Dad and "his Peggy" after her father's
re-marriage. Will there be room for her beloved stuffed companion? Made my daughter think and process my own remarriage
and her place in a step-family in a new way. Very helpful.
