Just as good for adult tummies as is for children's! Lot's of good basic information on how the gi tract works and how this can cause/affect other health conditions. It's funny because we spend alot of time on researching what kind of carseat to get or what type of educational activities are best for our child, yet we seem to not think twice about their gi tracts until it becomes a major issue. My child is recovering from autism thanks to lots of dietary research and the Specific Carb Diet(and help from all his therapists and teachers). This book seems to have a good overview of everything I've read. I'm recommending it to anyone I know who has gi trouble or autoimmune issues. Like any holistic type book it recommends all kinds of supplements, but I found that does not seem to take away from the book at all.

This is the first GI book all residents should read. It is easy to read and finish on a resident's schedule because the text is minimal but adequate. It is filled with large photographs of all GI disease processes concerning oral contrast radiography. It also has literature concerning technique, artifacts and common differentials.

A very informative book. By far, one of the most comprehensive and easy to understand books I have read on the subject(and I have read many!). As an added bonus, my wife found all the recipes a delight.

This is by far the best reference if you are looking for evidence in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Objectives very clear and useful for attendings, residents and medical students not only in a G.I. service but also in a medicine rotation. It helps me a lot when we are discussing a controversial topic like treatment in functional dyspepsia, treatment of ulcerative colitis or the screening in colorectal cancer on rounds or even in a conference. I especially like chapters 1 (evidence based gastroenterology), 3 (ulcer disease and helicobacter pylori infection) and 25 (ascites and hepatorenal syndrome) . Highly recommended because is different from traditional old books.

I have studied personally with Christopher both at conferences and at a local class here in Vermont. He is an amazing herbalist and teacher, and his book is one of the best I have read. I highly recommend it.

I am a board certified gastroenterologist and internist. I purchased this book 9 years ago to help me with the first of many lectures I have given on irritable bowel syndrome. Unlike many other books and articles I obtained for the same lecture, I have retained, re-read and recommended this book above all others. Thinking it was out of print, I recently loaned it to a patient who found it a wonderful, thoughtful, straightforward reference that explained a lot of her symptoms and really made a difference in her life. There is a LOT of literature regarding functional bowel disorders available to the lay-person but this one has just the right mix of science and practicality to warrant my highest recommendation.

This textbook is one of the most famus and reliable in the world. It covers all the field of hepatology, and is satisfaactory for specalists of hepatology as well as general physicians.Especially, the chapter of liver regeneration is well organized and stimulous.

I WANT TO THINK THAT COULD BE A GREAT GUIDE FOR ALL SPECIALIST AND POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS TO BEGINING IN GASTROENTROLOGY WAY.
