In Lifestyles For The 21st Century: A New Quality Of Life, Dr. Marcus Wells presents a new approach to helping both morbidly obese and normal sized men and women to achieve weight balance throughout life and prevent chronic disease by enhancing energy, reducing stress, and improving control over food. Dr. Wells clearly explains for the non-specialist general reader all about high protein-low carbohydrate diets, the truth about "phen-fen" and sibutramine, dispels the myths surrounding high impact's alleged advantage over low impact exercise, and reveals how anyone can increase his or her will power to improve self image. Informative, practical, candid, "reader friendly", Lifestyles For The 21st Century is "must" reading for anyone concerned with improving their health and physical well-being.

A rose in the desert

This book turned up on a dusty shelf of a forgotten bookstore and changed my life. I was dieting and still very young. With calory counting techniques I was unhealthy and weak. Then I tried techniques taught by the (unfortunate for the world) late master Chee Soo to help purify the person on all levels. Twenty years later I still recommend this manuscript to anyone who thinks they know something about themselves. The diagnoses it reveals about one's state of health are easy to follow for everyone and the health that ensues is not a luxury but a possibility.

Little gem !!!

Dr. Evans has his way with words. This little book is written in a funny style about a somewhat serious topic, which is vitamin/mineral supplement. He explains each idea in a could-not-be-simpler sense, after all, shouldn't food(or nutrition) be a simple subject ?

The ice-cream weight loss idea is real, and also his interpretation on cholesterol/HDL/LDL is elegant and precise.

Please also read his book on Chromium Picolinate. Many weightloss supplements have some chromium in the ingredients. It is more than an entertaining read.
