Classic methods that heal, not treat symptoms
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2004-09-22
This book is written by an extraordinary women, Ebba Waerland of Sweden. On the verge of death she applied the Waerland therapies, recovered. Then she married Are Waerland himself. Are is really the father of what we call alternative medicin today. Together they helped start hundreds of sanatories throughout europe and the world. The swedish title of this book would be: "The book of natural medicin". It came out in 1961 and is about 200 pages. Its about fasting, using fresh herbs and vegetables from nature. If you can find it, I suggest you read 'In the cauldron of disease', by Are Waerland himself. It contains vital information we are not supposed to have about doctors and medicin. Anyway, the Waerland system informs you why you get toxic inside, how this gives you one ore more of thousands of symptoms the doctors call diseases. It tells you how to get rid of this toxicity so the body heals by itself. If you have cancer or are afraid you might get it, this explains why you get it and how they cured hundreds of people from it over 50 years ago usinf very simple remedies. Nowadays, big money is involved so that complicates things a bit, hrm..
And remember, was written before they knew amalgam fillings was a major cause of chronic disease.

I am proud to say that I do not take any prescription drugs. I totally believe in supplements and and helping the body naturally heal itself. I've bought Relora since reading the book, and take it three times a day. I'm considerably less edgy than normal, and I'm sleeping better than I ever have without waking up groggy. This book is a quick-read with lots of information regarding stress and its effects. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

A brilliant combination of heart-healthy and delicious!

Richard Burke,Jr (Irish Pub): Chef Coleman has long been known as the master behind so many of my favorite meals at the Rittenhouse Hotel, and now he's let us all in on the secrets behind how he creates decadent dishes that manage to be as light on the plate as they are on your diet. All too often it's difficult finding that happy medium between what you enjoy and what is more healthy and with this book you not only get started out with many many great recipes but Chef Coleman also takes you step by step behind the substitutions that allow no changes in flavors and textures. The photographs are awesome and the instructions easy to follow. If you cant get to the Rittenhouse this is definitely the next best thing!

Diet Dream Book
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2008-08-14
I used Rosemary Conley's Inch Loss Plan in South Africa and found it very successful, workable and user friendly. The only difficulty for U.S. readers is that the measurements are metric and the products are British-based foods. Once you've done some European travel and have done some basic conversions, it's not difficult to find American equivalents. Conley's exercises worked well for me, because they start easy, yet at the end of the month I could jog a good distance without losing my breath. Also, she masses the menus at the back, so it's easy to look through and pick your favorite breakfasts, lunches and dinners. If you are tired of your present diet, this is an interesting option. Her pictured exercises are easy to follow.
