I found the online review pages available at amazon.com useful in deciding to purchase this book. When the book arrived, I found it very colorful and easy to read. I particularly appreciate the layout of the content which is quite composite. It does not just dwell on radiology of diseases, but it includes a good measure of pathology and surgical management of the disease entities discussed. I found the book to have a good clinical application and it is quite easy to relate to by, not only radiologists, but pathologists and surgeons.

I also showed the book to my program director in oral and maxillofacial radiology residency program. He also thought the quality of the color materials were excellent. I guess that explains why it costs a couple of hundreds to have the book.

This is a book I'll recommend to anyone involved in the diagnosis and management of head and neck cum oral and maxillofacial lesions.

This text fills a vacuum in the diagnostic radiology for dentistry. The strength of the book lies in vast amount of high quality images. Most of the cases start with a panoramic radiograph or a periapical film, and then proceed to CT or MRI imaging. Exactly the way an Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist will approach a case. This is a must text for maxillofacial radiology residents. For general dentists, who have started a Conebeam CT practice, this book will help you in your practice. The book is expensive, but it is worth every penny.

I'm not a sonographer but I need to know something about the practice to make what I write fit well with the audience. I got this book to help me walk through some basic exams and identify what settings and options I need to get adequate images.
This book gives me enough information to replicate some exams and get the information I need. It's well-structured so I can find what I'm looking for and it has enough system-independent information to help me out.

I am a sonography student and found this book really helpful in the lab and while doing homework. I am sure I will use it at clinical.

When MRI books first came out they were written by very knowledgeable people who could not speak in laymen's terms. This book is very important because you can understand it with out needing a masters degree. If your a technologist who wants to advance the right way, start here.

This (and the MRI of the Brain I of the same series) are the best neuro case books I've found. Although more expensive the the Case Review series associated with the Requisites (which is a GREAT neuro-rads book for the resident), I like the format better. Each case in this book is given several photos, so you can see it on multiple sequences (you get more photos than with the other series). This allows you to practice describing what you see (e.g. "a heterogenous signal on T2 in the basal ganglia, with no contrast enhancement on the post-gads"). Then, there is a separate section describing what's on the images, so you can compare with your impression. Then, you can go onto the next section where you discuss the differential, what the most likely dx is, etc. The quality of the paper (and hence the photos) is excellent, and the discussions are thorough. There are a few "tough" cases, and a few "easy" cases, but by and large this very good, high-yield stuff. And, there are articles/references with each case, in case you want to do more reading. I think this is the most painless, high-yield way to review neuro-rads.

This is an excellent collection of high quality MR images of the brain, each accompanied by a brief clinical history, radiologist's findings, a discussion, and a list of suggested reading. The 100 topics cover a vast area of clinical neurology, from common disorders to the uncommon and the rare. The presentation in the form of a teaching file gives the reader the opportunity to study the cases in an interactive way. As a practicing neurologist, I found going through the pages of this book an enjoyable, and of course, a profitable experience. I have no doubt that all those interested in clinical neurology, from undergraduates and postgraduates to practicing clinicians will find this book an exciting way to learn MR imaging of the brain and sharpen their clinical acumen.

A book that is absolutly esential for the understanding of prinicples of the neurotransmiters action under influence of medications aswell the basic principles of the psychopharmacology.The book that is extended overwiew one should read after you read throught Stahl books.

This is an excellent text on the basic neuosciences and the clinical correlations in pharmacological understanding of the psychiatric disorders.The book raises the fundamental issue of diagnosis which is currently still an uphill task even for an experienced clinician because of the inherent limitations in the understanding of the factors leading on to the current presentation of the disorder.The neuroscientific understanding of the various conditions and drugs used and developed thereof is the hallmark of this standard text. It is essential for any clinician who wants to excel in the practice of pharmacological treatment of psychiatric disorders.

This is the greatest radiology book I have ever read, and probably the greatest medical textbook as well.

This book gets straight to the point. Every word and every line is important. Unlike some other books where you have to read numerous pages to distill a few take home points, this book puts the pearls at your fingertips. I highly recommend this book to attendings and residents in radiology and nuclear medicine who are interested in PET/CT.

This is an excellent book if you are a practicing radiologist and like books that just get to the point. This book summarizes the scientific literature on PET and PET/CT concisely, has a lot of tips on interpretation, a lot of CT correlation for rads, and is overall very practical. I bought an advance copy at RSNA and like this the best of the PET books I have.

This books is full of "pearls" for anyone interested in PET. Book shows a good combination of images and text.

Concise + high yield = ideal for the busy radiologist who is getting up to speed with the demands of PET imaging. Probably would be a good book for residents, too. The authors have written it in such a way that it'd be useful for oncologists and other clinicians as well. This is just a great book overall.

An excellent concise abdominal MR book. Very "big picture" yet thorough. I highly recommend it!

The recent growth of abdominal and pelvic MRI has dramatically increased the complexity of this field. The authors' premise for this publication is that LESS IS MORE. The same premise of outstanding author Clyde Helms. In other words, we should attempt to learn the essentials first and then delve into the in-depth. This up-to-date book contains practical and concise descriptions, high quality illustrations, state-of-the-art technique (MR Angiography, MR urography, MRCP, Obstetric Imaging), the most common clinical cases encountered in daily practice, MR acronyms and terminology, and frequently asked questions to help you navigate through the complex world of abdominal and pelvic MRI. I do recommend this book.
