Diagnostic-Imaging Books

I have this book with me for years. I did implement a visual measurement system on PCB fault detection, with the algorithms (image operation and statistical measurement) given , I able to improved my first prototype. This book provided practical and workable case studies. It is a must for those would like to work practically on visual measurement system.

This book offers the most important information you need to know to get started scanning each of the major joints. The author uses hundreds of actual ultrasound images to help a neophyte operator with the pattern recognition skills required to understand what it is you are viewing on your screen. Each section includes anatomy diagrams as a reference. Easy to read and concise. Color illustrations would be more impactful and useful than monochrome.

This is an excellent book for a diagnostic radiology resident in the first couple of rotations in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, as well as body imaging fellows and general diagnostic radiologists. In essence, this covers the major topics in interventional radiology that guides us in the priniciples interventional radiology and bridging concepts with practical knowledge. It is aptly broken down into Non-Vascular interventions covering commonly performed concepts such as biliary interventions, abscess drainage, biopsies, GI/GU interventions and Vascular procedures such as stenting, embolizations, vascular access and fibrinolytics. Each chapter cites a good number of references for further reading.

The CD-ROM is an excellent accompanyment providing the text and a multimedia experience that is truly complementary. The text runs from Quicktime from Apple and the text is better visualized using WXGA versus WUXGA since the size of the text/box cannot be adjusted. Text is searchable and is broken into two disks, Vascular and Non-Vascular interventions. The Videos and animations are also appropriately indexed by respective chapters. Navigation around the text on CD-ROM is intuitive. It lacks function to cut and paste text or add notes for further reference.

The book is written is a clear and concise fashion and can definitely be read during a month rotation, if not a shorter interval. A recommendation for improvement would include the ability to copy text or include a box for annotations (i.e. note taking).

Nice book in a good state. It take only a little bit time to receive it, because we live in Germany.

The only thing lacking is a chapter on echocardiography & trauma ultrasound

This book helped me along with the 'Yellow Book' review for the Mammography registry.

This book offers an excellent pratical guide for the clinical hysteroscopy.The text and ilustrations are very riches.

This book is a wellcome addition to any neuroradiological library or collection. However some of the images are reproduced somewhat darkly and there could have been some more text. It does however come in a handy format and you will see most types of MS lesions. It is also not too expensive and comes with a great CD.

This book is very beautifully made and illustrated in addition to being very well-written by an international expert in the field of PET. The chapters cover all areas of application of PET in neuroscience and this makes the book quite exhaustive in scope despite in rather small size (it is also rather expensive...for its size..its only drawack...maybe). It also covers most of the necessary technical background information you need if you thinnk of getting into PET.
