This book is excellent for the clinicians and respiratory phisicians that are always on a hurryt. The book provide fast access differential diagnosis with examples of tc, pathology.

This book started as the companion text to the highly successful Tissue Doppler Imaging symposium at the KU Leuven, Belgium. It offers a comprehensive introduction to the field and is suitable for beginners. Different chapters systematically introduce the concepts of tissue velocity imaging, strain and strain rate imaging. The reader who is less interested in the technical aspects can easily jump ahead to the clinical applications. The final chapters contain up-to-date information on current research in the field. - The ordering process directly from the publisher in Europe is somewhat intimidating but I received my copy within 10 days. In my opinion this is the best text on tissue Doppler imaging yet.

This book will help anybody interested in emergency diagnosis of stroke to be able to interpret to unenhanced head CTs. This excellent monograph summarizes the experience of the group of people who performed the CT evaluation of the ECASS study. It shows multiple cases of early stroke that the reader can try and study in order to establish an early tissular prognosis.
This book is simply indispensable

I think interpretation of an ECG couldn't have been easier. The books deals with the basics of ECG, as to how it evolved, and how exactly are the waves produced on the paper. Book talks everything possible in ECG and puts everything piece by piece, making the big picture. From deviations to arrhythmias to different disease conditions made unbelievably easy. Never thought I could learn it so well. A definite buy for medical students...like me.

I am an "echo tech" with just 6 months experience under my belt. I have used this book as a reference for accurate "how to" measurments. The text refers to ASE standards and gives not only the novice but also the more experienced tech a reference manual for what to do here. It includes a chapter on m-mode as it is still frequently requested by cardiologists for measurements. It is the only reference that I could find (and I have quite a few) that actually focuses on measurements. In a way this book is the opposite of Terry Reynold's echocardiographer's pocket reference (which I have worn the cover off of) because it focuses on the exam not the findings to diagnose a pathology. It has plenty of pictures including some in color that show correct placement of the caliper markers and tracing envelopes.

I had a scare and thought this book was lost to me. I had to think but a moment to decide that I would repurchase this one. (And I still have a monstrous student loan I am working on)

This video companion falls in about 70 minutes, and 42 pages. It is an essential and imperative part of the book; they are like twins. It is divided into a) spontaneous activities and b) evaluating voluntary MUAP.

The first 24 pages discuss spontaneous activities; myotnic, Fasculation, end plate, tremor, cramps, etc. There are 36 video segments; most of the segments are played twice on different sweep. The last 18 pages discuss evaluation of voluntary motor units, (normal, ployphasic, recruitment, nascent, unstable etc). There are 17 video segments; also most of them are played twice on different sweep.

Each section starts with general introduction (stability, firing rate, morphology) and has a great "summary table". Basic concepts are discussed with easy to understand graphs. After the introduction, each pattern / finding (Neuromytonia, normal MUAP, etc) is explained, with the relevant clinical implications. There are ample of drawn traces, in addition to the concise, well directed, explanation for each video segment, emphasizing the major characteristics of the pattern. This organization and approach had extremely helped me to follow with this very helpful and educating video. I surely learned a lot, and I keep replaying it and learning from it every few months, I highly recommend it for every one dealing with EDX.

Now this is a bok we really needed! It is also very well written and complete on the subject of emergency neuroradiology and its applications. I am somewhat sorry because i wanted to write such a book but it is very needed in any neuro bookshelf.

I presently use this book as a text for a course for Imaging Systems students. They have found it easy to read and informative. While it dwells on the legal aspects quite heavily, it still delves into the personal aspects of ethical issues which might be encountered by imaging professionals.

This book is an all time medical classic. It presents one of the most comprehensive collection of chest roentgenograms found any where. It's organization is unique in that it allows one to arrive at a diagnosis by starting with a particular pattern on a chest xray. The authors are clearly master clinicians. This is one of the best organized and most extensive medical text that deals with differential diagnosis. It is a worthy addition to any collection of medical books worthy of being called a library.

I enjoyed this textbook very much. The pictures are clear, and the text is concise and informative. It's also up to date. I strongly recommend this book to those in the neurosciences, nuclear medicine, and radiology!
