A lot of good stuff although it didn't address a lot of the subjects I need advise on.

Good information on diabetes, however some of the recommended websites for the products were no longer valid. Was expecting a meal plan and more information on recommeded supplements/herbs in this book. Instead, it gave us some links/addresses to go to that again are no longer available on the web. Expected more info from the book.

One of the greatest concerns for couples was the male and female potency in bed. The male potency is a much discussed problem but at a singular level, now this book brings into perspective the couple and what effect impotence has on it. Great books, well written, but bellow the standards of[...], which is the best book for couples seeking relief from sexual disorders of any kind

Great motivational book about someone that has dealt with Type I Diabetes for many years. I wish he had put more specifics in the book about about his diet and workout routines but I still enjoyed it.

This is a fantastic book for the professional seeking a compact book on diabetes. I came to this conclusion based on the fact that it covers everything I needed to know concerning this disease. Just to cover the tip of the ice berg this book covers diabetes: epidemiology, pathophysiology of type 1 and type 2, chapter on insulin resistance, nutritional management, diabetic management, hypoglycemia, Hyperglycemic Hyperosmolar Syndrome, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, pregnancy induced diabetes, and much MUCH more. This book is a wealth of knowledge concerning the field of diabetes. I have found it very informative in explaining everything from the basics of insulin resistance, as well as being informative on in depth subjects on this disease. I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 based only on it's disregard for readers who are new to their profession, and don't have MD following their name. But even with that draw back I can honestly recommend this book to anyone looking to obtain information on this disease. This book really is a wealth of knowledge.

The recipies are not that hard to do if you have all the ingredients. Most likely you will have to get your sweet stuff from a health food store.

this is a good book but it would have been nicer if I could have gotten a 2008 book but this one will serve the purpose.

I found this book to be exactly right. After looking at so many diabetic dessert books that have tons of artificial ingredients or little taste this book is the answer. All the recipes are easy to make and call for every day ingredients. The nutrition facts are easy to follow. A must have for any diabetic that enjoys dessert.

The most valuable feature of this book is the extensive and well presented coverage of the basic mechanisms, histopathology, and pathophysiology of diabetic retinopathy in chapters 12 to 16.

This just goes to show you that even if you are not a diabetic, you can enjoy these combinations of foods and not restrict yourself to taste. This book just proves that for once in our life we can cook one way, and not have to cook 2 different meals, one for our family and one for us. Everyone will enjoy this combination of cooking.
