This book by Dr. Lee J Sanders tells about the history of diabetes. The story is wonderful and the stamps are beautiful. The book gives you the history of the different periods in time of diabetes. It is a must have book

I have read a ton of books and advice on diet and diabetes. This is the sum of all the good things in diabetes dieting. Because it emphasizes weight loss, it actually provides a means to reverse the symptoms of diabetes rather than just control blood sugar. An excellent book!

Excellent book, a lot of practical information embedded in good theory

this book has recipes that are easy to find,to follow, to make,ingredient that are available in my ordinary kitchen, not to mention delicious, a good size book to store or pass around. I have recommended this book to all my diabetic friends.

Wonderful Book! You should fix the typo in the advertisement though...the word is 'for' not 'fro'.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I found the stories very inspirational and I also liked the tips Shawn provides. When I want a jolt of positive energy, I read this. But, beyond just feeling good, the wisdom is very useful for me to apply to my life.

This is definitely worth buying.

this is a great tie to all the kate series books. i would love to see another- it kind of leaves you hanging. i love the series as a whole and can't wait to see more. you will also like the girls next store which kind of picks up where Sabrina and Kate leave off, though not so much about Sabrina or Kate.

This boos was amazing, an excelent fasting method that I ever realized in my life. This book can help you cure your own incurable diseases especially diabetes. Please have it in your home as soon as possible.

This weekend, Melody and I had the opportunity to review three of the books in the Sillwee Wobbert Picture Book series. I was immediately impressed. G. Robert has done a phenomenal job at capturing the essence of special needs and putting the information into book form for children. The books are colorful and warm with illustrations that are catchy yet not overwhelmingly "busy" or distracting. Melody sat and read the books on her own. After she finished, I asked her what she thought of Sillwee Wobbert and his friends. "I liked the books. They were fun to read...and cute!" I went on to ask her what she had learned about each or the special needs covered in the books. When asked about Sillwee Wobbert, Diabetes and Jose at School and Play, she said "I learned a lot about Diabetes. If Jose doesn't eat often and watch his sugar, he could become very sick. Sometimes he has to have his finger poked. Kids with diabetes are just like me. They just have to be very careful about what they eat and about what their body tells them." Each book contained a lesson that Melody quickly caught on to. The fact that she understood the intended lesson proved this series to be a valuable tool in teaching not only that it is "ok" to have a disability or special need, but it is also "ok" to be friends with kids who have disabilities or special needs, like Sillwee Wobbert and his friends. With so many books on the market today, this series is sure to rise above the rest with its valuable lessons that are often missed in today's fad movie-related or television series spin-off books. I would recommend this series to anyone working with, treating, or caring for a child. These books will make great additions to hospital or clinic waiting rooms, school classrooms and libraries, childcare centers, and just about anywhere that you're likely to find children.
