The poems about the "ex", the second wife, and especially the title poem gave me the impression that someone finally understood ME. My eyes actually started tearing up while reading this collection on the "T". This gutsy book doesn't beat around the bush! I want to read more - "just fill it up and keep driving," yeah, I can relate. This book is right up there with ones by Jan Beatty, Jane Kenyon, Jim Daniels and Sharon Olds. Thank you Ms. Bates!!!!

Webb's Italian Diabetic Meals In 30 Minutes Or Less provides some new ideas for serving meat, pasta, vegetables and fruits in Italian dishes. From Garlicky Shrimp and Broccoli to Italian Chicken Salad With Walnuts, meals focus less on the pastas Italian foods are known for and more on less fattening, healthier main course fare more accessible to diabetics.

A sweet but honest story about how one young boy deals with the challenges diabetes brings and still lives life to its fullest. Great illustrations, and a positive and inspirational message.

Probably most appropriate for kids 12 and younger.

The book is beautiful, well documented and has the whole gamma of information. It is also practical and has much illustration. The CD included, although I have only scanned it, seems to contain good information.

My 24-year-old son developed triglyceride levels - over 750. He was not obese, but perhaps 15 pounds overweight.

His doctor immediately put him on Lopid and other meds. This resulted only in allergic responses and developing liver toxicity.

In desperation for a cure, I searched the web and decided to give this cookbook a try.

After 5 weeks or so of cooking according to its recipes - my son's triglycerides were 350 and good (HDL) cholesterol was within normal range.

His doctor swore that diet and exercise would be of no use! He was so arrogant and tried to dismiss me despite my 27 years as a nurse.

Although classified as used, the book has come under perfect conditions: it is practically new. Moreover, it arrived before the anticipated date.
