This therapy has been availabe for many years. It is not promoted by the pharmaceutical industries since the patents have
expired on the chelation medications. I read this book after visiting the McDonagh clinic and hearing of excellent results
from patients who traveled from Iowa, South Dakota, Tennessee and Florida. The book explains exactly how chelation works
and why it is opposed by some who have no way to profit from it. My father was an M.D. who had good results from chelation
therapy and it was literature similar to this book that got him interested in it.

I was looking for a book for my clinical attachment in internal medicine: this is real beauty. Completely clear and well illustrated.
What I liked alot was that many terms and diseases are concisely defined right from the first lines of each section. Great
value and easily the best of the clinical diabetes and endo textbooks.

This cookbook is great for anyone who wants healthy, simple, and delicious Latin food. The book offers recipes from various
regions too. The layout is smartly put together as the Spanish and English language versions are next to each other on a
two page spread. I've tried several recipes and all have been very good. My mother, who is diabetic, is happy to have new
ways of preparing some of her favorites. Highly recommend.

This book, along with "Prediabetes: What You Need to Know to Keep Diabetes Away" by Gretchen Becker, is an excellent resource
for someone newly concerned and rightfully a little alarmed about her/his blood glucose level testing above normal.
One of the first questions one might have is "What should I eat to prevent diabetes?" In this total life plan, which includes practical advice for weight-loss and exercise--the two imperatives of prevention, Woodruff and Saudek also provide two weeks of menus and 150 superb and healthy recipes that are easy to make.
I have served many dishes to guests who just thought I had made a terrific meal. They had no idea the recipes were from a diet book. Some tasty examples are Grilled Tuscan Tenderloin, Slow-Cooked Sicilian Pot Roast, Scallops with Peanut Sauce, Salmon with Roasted Plum Tomatoes, Cherry Bavarian, Cinnamon Peach Crisp, Dilled New Potatoes and Peas, Crab Louis Dip, Double Bran Muffins, Toasted Muesli and Citrus Vinaigrette. These have all become favorites in our menu repertoire!
My husband and I have both lost several pounds in a few months with these recipes/menus. Sandra Woodruff's other cookbooks are great too. And, don't forget the exercise. We are also walking 35 to 45 minutes every day. Making time to exercise daily and eat right is a better choice than sliding blindly into what could become a debilitating and life-threatening disease. Buy both books and start taking back your life.

Most books are filled with medical jargon, hard to pronounce words, and generally not written for the common, everyday type
of person who suffers with Diabetes. Here the author talks about the disease, how to treat it to control it, and what types
of life-changing habits need to be broken and new ones made.
The book even outlines what types of exercise is good for us. I was told years ago that weight training is a taboo for diabetics... not so according to the book, and the author explains why.
I wish that I read this book 10 years ago.
