I never thought by using the spray applicator for toner are handier than using cotton ball to wipeout your skin face. This book has all the basic skincare infos for beginners. Including the commonly used cosmetics or skin cares products ingredients, sun cares, acne skin treatment and more.

I have no regret at all after purchasing this book, because it has the basic skin care information I need.

The thing about this book is that although it is about psychosomatic approaches to common skin diseases, it is written by a highly qualified Dermatologist (Fellow of the Royal college of Physicians). This makes for a very convincing read. Everyone with chronic skin disease should consider reading it if they have explored every other avenue. There is hope within these pages!

Working vets and any college-level holding strong in advanced veterinary science must have Skin Diseases of the Dog and Cat: Clinical and Histopathologic Diagnosis, now updated to its second edition and including black and white and color photos to aid in diagnosis and treatment. From close-up photos of skin conditions to detailed treatment analysis and procedures, this is a working reference any vet must have; particularly as skin diseases are the most common complaint bringing a dog or cat owner into the vet's office.

Finally, a flaps fook with photos

Does the world really need another facial reconstruction book? I did not think so, since I already own a few.

I recently was able to flip trough this and was amazed by the photographs. It is very nice to have an "atlas of holes" with sketches of different flap superimposed with the authors' reasoning nicely contained in the text. It is like having Ramsey Millette in your living room.

There are, of course some reconstructions which I would not have done but that is the beauty of dermatologic plastic surgery: there are usually a few good options.

This book is not for the beginner, although it does have a nice description of flaps including the most straigtforward explanation of mechanics of specific flaps that I have seen illustrated. This will be useful if you perform a large number of facial skin reconstructive surgeries.

The eyelid reconstruction was the best I have seen in a book not completely devonted to periorbital surgery.

While there are many authors it is obvious that Dr. Buchen had heavily edited this text, making it very readable.

Dermatology/Immunology reference superstar.

Stedman's Dermatology and Immunology Words is once again in the Stedman category of excellent medical reference books. This extremely handy book, ideal for the medical transcriptionist who deals with dermatology, allergy, rheumatology, and infectious diseases, including those in the HIV-related area, will not go wrong with this volume. In addition to the aforementioned specialty categories, it also includes diagnostic procedures, lab tests, equipment/instruments and even prosthesis terms in the involved specialties. It is fully cross-referenced which is extremely handy when you know the dictator is saying, for example, some kind of "acne", but cannot clearly hear or are not totally acquainted with his/her statement such as "varioliformis acne" as one example. Additionally, there are several indexes that include appropriate anatomical illustrated guides, a list of commonly used word combination forms [viz, "chondro = cartilage, etc.], and, very handy, an extensive list of common allergens.

The editor claims this book has 41,000 entries which also include abbreviations and acronyms. The medical transcriptionist, who especially deals with dermatology/allergy, cannot go wrong with this reference book. As a medical transcriptionist, I rate it tops.
