This is very valuable bood for Pharmaceutical researcher focused in transdermal project.

This is a detailed description of Ackerman's views about dermatology, dermatopathology and surgical pathology. Like so many Ackerman's works, it is also a work of art, sometimes with the impressive detail, color and light of stained glass in a medieval church.

I am a general practitioner with Diploma in dermatology.
Among the 2 dermatology atlas and 6 dermatology textbooks that I have owned, this is simply the best one because the information is update, concise and presented in an easy to read manner. Compared with the Atlas of Clinical Dermatology by du Vivier 2nd Edition, this book has more updated information although the du Vivier's atlas has more classical and more abundant photographs on rarer dermatological diseases.
However, potential readers should not expect detailed explanations on diagnosis making and management.
This book is suitable for practitioners who already have medium level of knowledge in dermatology.

I bought this book today and read it.It is an excellent book,fungal diseases are discussed one by one with illustrations,pictures,slides and in some cases microbiology.One can review all the important fungal infections in short time.It is a modern book with WEB SITES at the back.Treatment are also discussed.It is a small 114 page book but covers a vast topic of cutaneous fungal infections.It is helpful for the undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dermatology students.

Not only a well written medical reference but also for everyday-people to understand the challenges and how to prevent this difficult illness.

I am an author of one of the chapter in this book. I read through other chapters of this book and found that they contain lots of good information about human aging process and treatments. We all know that not everybody will get certain types of diseases, but everybody will become old. Aging is a process that everybody will pass through. How to maintain health while we become old is the research mission of we scientists and physicians. I wish people will enjoy the most update information and discussion about aging and treatment in this book.

I bought this book as a brand new nurse practitioner in 1999 at the reommendation of a professor in my NP program. It has become invaluable to me in my practice. My colleagues are continuously "borrowing" it from me. It is easy to read, follows a menu of descriptions and treatments and has many, many pictures to use as a reference. I highly recommend this reference to anyone who is afraid of dermatology complaints in their patients because they present such challenges.

This fifth edition of Primer of Epidemiology is well-written and easily readable. It provides an excellent introduction to epidemiology.

This is an excellent book, written by many top clinicians in their respective fields. The various chapters are brilliantly organized and are relevant to almost every area of medicine. This book is a must have for both general practitioner and specialist alike.
