I was very disappointed in this book as a whole. Ms.Simmons obvious trial and error method might inspire some made me wonder
just how long did it really take her to figure it all out? The business is the care of children, and of course making it profitable.
But, I found her main focus was the money. I was put off by some of her "true stories". It's very obvious she was dealing
with less than the cream of society, especially the account of the 13 year old mother and her 2 1/2 month infant, a product
of incest! I found these true stories not at all appealing or helpful, I don't want experiences of persons that have come
and gone, especially when they were her experiences, at that time and place. Give helpful advice, not story telling! I also
found this book was a "blow your own horn" of Ms. Simmons' care and concern for others, unfortunately it came out as a busy
body trying to round up business! Just too much "girlfriend talk" and not enough of getting to the real reason for me buying
your book!I instantly found I doubted her and equally did not trust her judgement on a subject she obviously learned along
the way!

I am writing to let you know how pleased I was with Mrs. Terri Simmons's Day Care book. Her book was very informative and
helpful. Mrs. Simmons is very knowledgable about the business and is very open to sharing her vast experiences. Since reading
her book, my partner and I are now open for business.
Very informative and helpful.

I thoroughly enjoyed Mrs. Simmons book. She place pertinent information that will really help me. I found it easy to understand
and I enjoyed the humor she used. I could feel that her heart is truly with children. She gave expert advice that will
help those who are even afraid of starting their own daycare because they don't even know where to start. Any question
that you may have Terri will answer for you. Questions that you should ask but didn't know to ask she will answer. She
opened my eyes to aspects of Home Daycare that hadn't even crossed my mind. This book was fantastic and worth every penny.

I bought this book because my two year old has become afraid of fire drills after being awaken from nap at day care for a
fire drill. I thought this book would be perfect, but it's actually written pretty poorly. Even though it's geared toward
a slightly older preschooler, this book is way too long and not very engaging. I had to edit it as I was reading so it wouldn't
be too boring. I bought another book that is much better called "Dinofours: It's Fire Drill Day!" which my daughter really
likes and even wanted to take to her daycare to share with the other children.

I did not like this book. It has too many words and being twenty-eight pages long, it is too long for most pre-school children
to sit through. In some cases the print is over the pictures making it somewhat difficult to read.

This book is great for anyone doing daycare, (or just forfamilies). This book is exactly what I was looking for when I starteddoing
daycare, and needed to start doing fire drills with my kids. The kids love reading the book, and looking at the great illistrations.
This book has taken a scary reality in life and made it easy for kids to understand.

As a parent of a post-colic, breast-fed, 5 month old boy, I welcomed this inexpensive, easy read with a simple plan. The
approach was oversimplified and did not help our family. Perhaps it is better suited for a younger infant who may be more
easily reconditioned. I would recommend reading Suzy Giardino's or Dr. Weissbluth's books instead. Good luck.

eduard estivill is a spanish pediatrician, very famous in europe for his dedication to parents' good night sleep. this book
really does work! don't be afraid and give it a try for 1 week; it might be hard but magically after few nights you will realize
how golden these advices are.
my son slept through the night from he was 6-week-old and he never ever had any sleep problem ever since (he's 4 and a half now).

This book tells,in six clearly defined steps, HOW to find a decent Alzheimer's nursing facility and HOW to get financial assistance
from Medicaid. No important detail is neglected. This is information you cannot get from any other source. The author has
personally and successfully gone the full route. He tells the reader what to expect. How to overcome problems along the
way, and how to respond to Medicaid's numerous requests for verifications. Many, if not most attorneys would charge $1,500
for providing assistance when applying for Medicaid financial help.

I had ordered this book to be shipped express, as my mother has senile dementia., and I thought I could find out more about
Medicaid. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to see how this book was packaged for the price. It had said SPIRAL-BOUND, (which
in itself is not expensive)., and instead I got a book with a cover that costs probably $1.00 from the drugstore. Also,
glancing through the info., I knew most of it from talking to social workers and others., or from getting pamphlets or just
asking questions., so I don't really see where the info is that you can't get anywhere else. It might be a little helpful
for someone just starting the process., but not at all worth the price. Most I would have paid is 1/4 what the author/publisher
charges. Sorry! . . .

This was a gift which was never received. The recipient has two addresses, a rural free delivery box and a home address.
U.S. mail goes to the box and Fed Ex or UPS deliveries are made to the home address. Amazon has been unable for several years
to make this distinction and invariably says the package is undeliverable when they choose the wrong carrier. Amazon then
credits my account for the incompleted purchase.

This is basicallly a photo book on blue glass. It has no information on the manufacturing process, the difference between
blown, cut and formed glass or particular glass vendors. The photos have prices associated with them, but no dates of manufacture.
It is the only thing out there exclusively devoted to "cobalt blue", but I was disappointed in the lack of information. The
authors seemed more interested in attributing the ownership of the items depicted in the photos than in providing facts.
A hard to find resource for a popular collectible item.

This is an outstanding book on a horrible decade in American and Western European culture. DeYoung's sociological analysis
of the American day care cases uses moral panic theory as its framework; in analysing the cases, she also refreshes an important
but much abused and timeworn theory of collective behavior. She includes a brilliant chapter on the spread of the moral panic
abroad, demonstrating her broad international savvy about these cases. The book is splendidly written, often witty, always
insightful, but very accessible. It should appeal to a wide audience. I recommend it with enthusiasm.

I love this book. I'm ordering my third one. I initially used it so that my nanny could let me know how my baby's day went
while I was at work -- food intake, naps, interesting things that happened during the day -- but now I also use the book while
I'm home, since I only work part-time. It's a great way to keep track of what your baby is eating, and I've found it wonderful
to look back at the "journal" entries. Having it sit out in the kitchen reminds me to write something special about each of
my kids every day, and I know I'll keep the books forever.

I read this with one of my reading groups, and the kids seemed to enjoy it. It was the first Yoko book with which I have come

was surprising and cute.

Note: The "School Library Journal" entry is incorrect for this book.
This is sort of your average book for young children. There are no 'grabber' plot elements or anything except the sweet artwork to make it stand out. If I were to summarize, I'd say it was a lemonade from lemons story, with little Yoko finding a way to stand out.
My nearly-five y.o. son liked it, but my nearly-seven y.o. daughter didn't ask for a second read.
Three Stars. Average sort of fair. Okay Read-aloud. Artwork is very nice, as usual for Ms. Wells.

I was also highly insulted by the section entitled "The Main Reason Why We Do This Every Day," which depicted a large pile of money. Some of us are not in the CHILD care business just for the bucks! I would have liked more tips on daily activities for the children, and less advice on collection agencies.
