I have used the techniques described in this book with two cherished puppies--a Jack Russell and a Border Terrier. It is simple, clear, effective--and it works! I often make it a gift to friends who are new dog owners. Followed correctly, it will prove to be one of your best "new owner" resources. Good luck using it with one of the best friends you will ever have.

Every puppy/dog owner should get this book....

I stumbled upon this book over 14 years ago when we got our Scottish Terrier puppy. He was 3 months old at the time. I bought this book with great hope since my husband and I work F/T. I work 5-10 min. away so I could get home at lunchtime. I was truly amazed on how quickly and efficiently these techniques worked. McDuff only had 3 accidents ever until he got to be a senior. I lent this book to an old co-worker years later who adopted a pitbull. I never got the book back because she passed it on to others as well. She was amazed also! Sadly, McDuff was put down a year and a half ago from Canine Lymphoma at the ripe old age of 12. Just a few days ago, we got Ripley - a Mini Schanuzer. We re-bought this book - it's just a must have inmaking everyone's life so much easier with housebreaking. I love that it gives different scenario's, timetables etc. Whether you think it's all just common sense or not, I always value someone else's perspective. We didn't follow the book to the letter, but at least it sets a good parameter for your lifestyle. I just can't say enough great things about this book and would highly recommend it.

I will advise the reader to buy the book before getting the puppy. READ IT!!! and think if you are ready to do what its needed... if you are still COOL with the idea.
This is the BEST 7.99 you have spent in a long time. Adopt the schedule that best suits your style and star doing in it from day one. The schedule will help you and the puppy to get ready for the paper training, out door o whatever you decide.
I have trained TWO shelties using this book, and on the first day. I GOT POSITIVE RESULTS, becuase I adopted a schedule from day one.
Shelties are very easy to train, but getting them on the schedule from the start help to make it easier on you and them.
The book gives you different choices depending on your life style, and it makes you feel good if you work all day (YES!!! THERE IS A SCHEDULE FOR YOU TOO)
It is a quick read, no more than 30 minutes to a fast reader, around an hour for a slow.. it is easy to follow and you can skip a chapter depending on what you need.
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!!

This is a most confusing and contradictory book. In the first few chapters, it states never paper train if your intention is to have the dog "go" outdoors. Then if you dog is very young put plenty of layers of newspapers on the floor. It says not to confine the puppy in the crate, let him come and go. Then it says to confine the puppy in the crate.

I think it would have been beneficial to chapter each method and be consistant within each chapter. Our new puppy is primarily my 10 year old son's dog. However I am reading the material too. He has informed me that this book isn't vey good, and has found another that is better. I hope Amazon prints all of the reviews.

This book was a great purchase. I was not disappointed with this book; it gives good examples, but doesn't suggest you be a clone of someone else. Good photos, do's and don't, and helpful information and advice --even on undergarments! Good book to keep as reference from time to time. They thought of everything in this one! Loved it.

I bought this book from the clearance rank at a local bookstore. Should have been my first clue. As someone who designs and makes custom clothing, I'm always looking for references to help with customer body types and the best silhouettes. This book got it all wrong. Unless you're a celebrity and a sample size, don't bother. They don't know how to dress you. The authors/editors have no experience dressing you and they never will. I'm still looking for a book I can recommend, but this will never be it.

No strong feelings about this book -- but perhaps I'm the wrong audience

I don't have strong feelings either way about this book. It's organized well and includes interesting information about fashion history, proper fit, and clothing care, but nothing that I've really used.

Perhaps I'm the wrong audience. I'm a young professional in my late 20s working in a creative field, and I'm on a budget. Some of the tips in this book -- like, say, the statement that most women should own a pair of flesh-toned pumps -- really do not apply to me and my needs. The styles here, I believe, are meant to be timeless. The pieces it notes seem, for the most part, to be items to invest in. I'm just not at that point -- if you are, perhaps this book will meet your needs better than it did mine.

In summary, while I enjoyed the book and have no complaints about it, I also did not find any practical suggestions that fit me and my life. I hope this review helps steer others toward or away from the book, depending on their needs.

I bought this book and the Lucky Guide to Shopping and found the tips given in the other book to be better. If you were deciding which one to buy, I would say that I didn't find this book as helpful in identifying basic or classic pieces and there are relatively few practical shopping tips that I could use in the future.

Dr. Amy Wechsler's book is a thoughtfully written look at what we all can do to approve our appearance and take better care of ourselves. You won't find any goofy ideas here, just sound advice presented in a thoughtful and well-written manner. This is a great change from advice books that either promote ideas which seem too good to be true, because they are, or which dumb down topics. Take the time to read her book and you will feel like you are having a conversation with a trusted expert.

Some good advice for those seeking better skin

Reading this book, you get a clear sense that this author knows what she is talking about. She is honest about a lot of the hype surrounding faddish beauty products that do not work. What I did not like is that the author seems list many products tested on animals, whereas there are plenty of good products that are not tested on animals that are great. She does mention a few that don't test though, like Kiehl's for example. I don't remember the rest, but she does note a few of them, but it just would have been nice not to see some companies promoted due to their cruel testing practises.

Other than this, I can say the book is generally good, although at first, the author makes it seem that everything can be blamed on the mind/body connection; however, she does recommend facial-type treatments like variants on dermabrasion, etc., in addition to other basics such as getting enough sleep, eating well, etc., pretty much the standard, average advice.

I can't say the book is completely useless though, as there are some facts I did not even know, although I would remind the author, if she may be reading this review, that tea, while it does contain antioxidants, also tends to have a lot of fluoride, which some have deemed more toxic than lead (white tea is pretty safe though, as well as herbal teas and Yerba Mate).

Despite some of its flaws, I think this would be a good book for anyone who needs a "real" solution to most of their skin woes, although it will take work on the reader's part to make that happen as well. I think the most difficult advice to deal with is the "get enough sleep" bit, as most people today, especially with the stressful economy, are probably working two or even three jobs just to make it. Still, it is true that sleep is not a luxury, and I thank the author for mentioning this, because we seem to forget that sleep really is a basic necessity of life! (I work a night shift so I know just how stressful it can be to continue with a horridly mounting sleep deficit day after day.)

One sidenote: Actually, the appearance of youth is mostly due to genetics overall. Very oily skin that is prone to tanning easily, along with less pronounced facial features (like a heart-shaped face with a small chin, etc.) will age much better than someone with very large bone structure or bigger face, because gravity will push the fat and muscles on the latter face downwards, and it will be much more noticeable. On someone with a smaller (relatively more taut) face, along with good skin (oily skin most likely), the face will always look more youthful. In my opinion, aging has a lot to do with just plain ol' gravity and the general condition of the skin (dry versus oily). So, for those with "fallen" faces and features, a mini face-lift, along with the advice in this book, would probably help too.

mind-beauty connection is a book that looks deeper than skin

Dr. Amy Wecchsler's book "The Mind-Beauty Conection" is a book that looks far deeper than the skin to answer questions on how we can better care for ourselves from skin to our body to our brains! The book starts out with tips on how to wash your face and the further along your read the impact of how stress affects us including adrenals and cortisal. Stress affects your hormones and I finally got the answer to a shocking hair loss she refers to as "shedding" and her insights have given me peace of mind and hope. She explains how meditating actually affects your brain in a way that helps you age better and she gives you tips on improving our health including one I always felt was true and I affectionately call "Vitamin Sex". She believes as I do that sex and cuddling are good for your health as is diet, working out, massage and volunteering and socializing. She cautions as we getter older we may lose friends and all the more reason to work on social networking. The book is amazing especially the parts on how stress and hormones affect our body in very negative ways. She also covers dietary tips. addresses adult acne and skin cancer as well advice on moisturizers to the most inexpensive to the most expensive and of course the mostly costly alternatives which I can't pursue and have no interest in doing so at least for now.

The chapters on stress and hormones as well as advice on how to cope with stress make this book a winner for me and have given new insights and HOPE!!!

As a person who has struggled with skin issues from time to time, I was particularly anxious to try Amy Wechsler's book the Mind-Beauty Connection. I have been experimenting with her nine day program and it seems to work. Though it is true that taking a pill or getting a better lotion might be quicker, Ms. Weschler's program is certainly more long lasting.
In regards to the nine days, the title is a little misleading. I prefer to think of it as nine habits to integrate into my life, and a habit takes more than a day to build. It is the continued practice of these methods that will do the trick, not the mere passing of nine days.
Her style is easy to read and entertaining. Though is was a bit painful to take her skin age assessment I am sure it is accurate. A side benefit of following her program is the effect it has on the other parts of one's mental and physical health. It turns out that our skin is like a big billboard for our internal health. Stress not only wrecks our skin but our insides as well. Following this skin doc's prescription can help. Buy it today, feel and look better in a few weeks.

This was fun to read for a while and it is often interesting when she gives developmental information. Where this breaks down is when she starts giving parenting advice. A lot of it's pretty outdated and frankly bad. Not that I was using this for parenting guidance or anything, but I found myself skipping over lots of sections. It also gets very repetetive after a while - the same things are repeated over and over in slightly different ways.

You'd be much better off with either a real journal if you want to take lots of notes (this has very little writing space and is really just a book) or get a good baby book for recording milestones and memories. You can get better developmental info on the web anyway - sites like babycenter.com send you weekly newsletters the first year that are better than what you find in this book.

this journal is really cool. i loved the pregnancy journal, i used that as soon as we knew we were pregnant and i loved the format! so when i heard there was a baby one, i was excited to get it! it is a great place to take notes on your baby as he grows. a 'normal' journal just doesnt work when you are a new mother! so this is a really great item!

This Journal is the best I found! I've used the exact same one for all 3 of my kids! What I love about it is it's not a daily journal, yet not a weekly journal. You put your entries in every 4-7 days! And there's great reading in between to keep up on the social, emotional and physical developments of your baby week by week! I never felt "overwhelmed" trying to fill these journals out. The space to write varies in length from 1/4 of a page to 1/2 a page which also helps reduce the stress of having to write a FULL PAGE everytime!

Be Skeptical

Will a typical American diet make ADD worse, especially in children? Of course. That much is obvious. But be skeptical of an author that has such poor understanding of ADD. I have had this disorder all my life (there was no "onset"), and I did find a few unintentionally demeaning phrases and ideas while just skimming through this book at the store and online. I want to believe in the theory, but I just couldn't bring myself to purchase this book.

I have adult ADD, and I have spent MANY years trying virtually all of the nutritional ideas in this book. The only one that I know for a fact has really helped me is completely eliminating every speck of added sugars in every form, including artificial sweeteners (I sometimes have stevia, and that's it! ;) But a lot of the rest of these claims about what to eliminate, I just do not know. Almost all of us need to improve our diets, and the author's research is good when it comes to the supplments. But does EVERYONE actually need to get rid of every last speck of wheat and dairy-- not just cut down, but avoid 100%? Is it worth the neverending problems and upheaval that causes in our lives when we do it? Try it and see if it is actually making a difference, but diet is not a substitute for medication-- it is a support. There is a REASON why CHADD does not recommend this kind of diet!!

ADD medication isn't appropriate for everyone. Psychostimulants are serious stuff. But if you need them, nothing else will help you the way that you have to helped in order to build a life. Diet and nutrition alone will not do the trick. I have been there, and I know.

I know you hate the drug industry but...

It sounds like many of you have children who have ADD and you chose not to go the medication route. Be careful - and don't forget it is your child not you who has to live with this - and you should not judge the success of any plan on "if you think he is behaving better" but rather on his/her happiness. This is not about you - it is about your child. I think any child who changes his diet will manifest different behaviors. But ADD is a genetic, neurological disorder - to use the word "onset" and "prevention" of ADD - this is the most demeaning and blaitantly wrong term I have ever heard. Attention Deficit Disorder is caused by an insufficient release and absorbtion of Dopamine. Can a diet affect this - maybe a little - but concerta, ritalin, etc - actually do affect the release of dopamine. I applaud all of you in your research of ADD but be skeptical - of medication and of "Diets". What I do know is that I attend middlebury college and for the first three semesters I was getting mostly B's some A-'s (all without medication) - then convinced I was trying too hard or atleast much harder than everyone else for the same outcome, I decided to try concerta - which I refused in my earlier childhood years (seven-ten) as most kids do. I took an extra class and I pulled off 4A-s and a B+. I would like to think it was all me - and it really was all me, but the hard thing to understand is that many kids with ADD are intelligent enough - instead it is the neurology. Don't sell your child short by staking yourself as an anti-pharmaceutical parent...The doctors (experts) prescribe it for a reason. Keep your child playing sports, give him structure, have compassion and that is half the battle.

I am an adult diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, though due to significant language delay as a child, I actually meet the criteria for High-Functioning Autism.
I work with children, primarily on the autism spectrum. I am on the artificial additive free, gluten, casein, and soy free diets. I am quite healthy and happy on these. When I removed the artificials, I stopped having seizures, something medication had never controlled. My hyperactivity and insomnia were somewhat reduced.
Removing casein allowed me to begin making eye-contact with people, and I have begun noticing facial expressions. It also makes it harder for me to escape into my own world (I'm not so happy with this one, but it does make it easier to concentrate). Going gluten free reduced my intestinal problems. I only removed soy a couple of months ago, but it has a protein similar to gluten and casein, and I'm reactive to both of these, so I'll see what happens and update when I have reintroduced soy.
I suggest at least removing the artificials for ALL children, not just those with disorders or disabilities. One child diagnosed with autism whose mother removed just the artificials gained over a years worth of language in only 2 weeks. And she wasn't receiving speech therapy at the time.
As for the supplements, I take several. I can tell you that several speech therapists I know recommend that any child with severe articulation problems, apraxia/dyspraxia should take EFA - Essential Fatty Acids, particularly Omega 3s found in fish oil or evening primrose oil. It makes sense to go with a brand that has been laboratory tested and found free of mercury and other contaminants, particularly since so many people on the autism spectrum may be chemically sensitive.
The artificials seem to be the easiest first step. And it may encourage you to remove these if you know that artificial colors (FD&C Red #40, Blue #1, Yellow #5/6, etc.) are petrochemicals. That is, these are distillates of raw oil that are left over when they purify out gasoline. Want to bring your child to the gas station and fill them up with your car? That is essentially what you are doing when you give them meals full of these substances. SUSPECT ANYTHING BRIGHTLY OR DARKLY COLORED, particularly candies and processed foods.
As for sugar being the problem, what are you getting your sugar from? Red licorice sticks, lollipops, hard candies, fruit loops, chocolate bars, soda pop... all of which also contain artificial colors or flavors, unless you are careful to buy an all-natural brand.

I have read quite a few books on cleaning out your closet and developing your personal style, but this one is the BEST by far! Brenda not only takes you through your closet but does some really fabulous advising about accessorising and making an outfit WORK! There is more to making an outfit work than just pulling some things out of your closet - and she shows you just how to get it done with "Beauty Bundles". She also covers color, body type, and age appropriateness of fashion. I would say that it is the very best of 5 or 6 other fashion books all rolled into one. An excellent investment for your personal style building!

I really wanted to like this book but it was not possible. There really is not a lot of advice about anything that is of any practible benefit, the first chapter says you can do the exercises in a week without ever getting out of your pajamas. Geez, that really has never been one of my goals. Not a word about what items to actually put together to make a comprehensive and fashionable look. Do yourself a favor and buy the much better "How Not to Look Old" by Charla Krupp. You will find you have spent your money to much better purpose.

If you're ready to take hours and hours to find your "diva style", this book is for you. I was looking for something that didn't require so much "homework".

The "spa" sections of the book I thought were ridiculous... like hiring a masseuse to come to your home to meet you and your friends for a "spa" day. I can't think of 1 person that has that kind of money to throw away.

There are several "assignments" in the book that really do help you determine your style if you need that kind of help.

The section on cleaning out your closet was a great help to me. Sometimes you just need that kind of kick in the pants.

I didn't care for her writing style. It was a bit too wordy and too "happy" for my taste, but others might enjoy it.

Some of the ideas for working with your body type were great for me, and proved very useful, and for that I am truly thankful. So while I didn't love this book, it was still quite helpful in the long run.

I think this book is terrible. These exericises "might" tighten some muscles of your face, but the way they are done would no doubt cause wrinkling. The descriptions of the exercises are vague such as "position your tongue and jaw". Huh? The pictures are not very good at showing you exactly which muscles you are supposed to be working either. In addition, they look ridiculous and not as though they would work the intended area. The pictures look like an out of work actress who enjoys looking at herself make faces in the mirror. I was totally disappointed.

Really works, and makes your face FEEL better too!

This book really works. She explains the exercise by saying which emotion to imitate...i.e. looked surprised, or she might say show skepticism, or prissy, or humorous smile...etc. My face not only looks better (it actually was slightly sore even though I had been doing a different face routine religiously with Judith Olivia's "face aerobics"--I still like that one too, but feel this is more muscles worked in shorter time )
This is a book, which is the only downside for me. If this came out on DVD I would buy it in a heartbeat. Then again having the book is more portable, we just got back from a camping vacation and I could still do the exercises every day even without a dvd and tv. She shows a great pic of her face doing each exercise and gives tips on how to do it, and also tells you what muscle you are using and gives an optional accupressure spot to gently massage (very easy to do and feels great)
It really works. What surprised me most was my face felt less frozen...Iam only 31 and didn't even know my face had become "frozen" but i feel like emotional reactions come easier now for me. Again, Ididn't even know that had become a problem either. It really opened up my palatte of facial expressions! Meaning I feel like an artist with more colors to chose from.
I love how my face looks also!
I usually do this in the mornings, I keep the book on an end table near my favorite chair, and do this while my 4 year old watches sesame street.
At first it took me about an hour to read threw and really do correctly, but now I fly threw it in only 30 minutes....and I still have time to clean the floors before sesame street is over.
...It would also be easy to do at night while watching a favortie show...just do it on the commercials.
Your mirror reflection will thank you! ( I also do the eye bag excercise additonally while brushing my teeth since I want to work on my eyes most)
This is a great book, and I hope I look as great as the beautiful author at her age!!!! it makes old age sound fun if I could look like that!

I value the Maggio book for it's precision but find the exercises confusing and tedious and so don't do them often. This book is more easy going but still fully details which muscles are being worked, offers more than one photo of the exercise and, if you're into it, lists the emotions causing those muscles to need to be rehabilitated.

I do wish there was a picture detailing the accupressure point on the pages of instructions accompanying every exercise but a sticky bookmark makes it easy enough to flip to the graphic when necessary. And, the thought she gives to help explain the movements are excellent. For instance, the Expression given for the Eye Crunch is, "I'm not peeking!" and it really helps one 'get' the movement far better than any other explainations I've read.

I've read that stretching the skin is to be avoided but no longer think this is cause for concern unless one is in the habit of wrecklessly distorting the face with one's hands for the mere fun of it. I notice on the instruction sheet for Frownies that one is required to stretch the skin in order to place them and many, many women have sworn by them for decades so it can't be a bad thing to *carefully* move to skin to rehabilitate it.

An easy book to use and understand!

As an esthetician I have found this book amazingly helpful for my clients. I often reccommend it to those clients worried about losing muscle tone, and unable (or unwilling!) to get a face lift.
Do the exercizes...they're fun (!) and you'll get results! Immediately your skin with look healthier (rosier glow, less sallow) and over time you'll notice a difference. Taking pictures of yourself before and after ( after at least a month) will help you truthfully track your progress. Since we look at our face every day...it can be easy to miss gradual changes.
Pictures don't lie :-)

Timeless Face is an exercise program that goes much deeper than just skin care. The exercises also help emotionally. I suffer from depression and found in the past nine months of regularly doing both the facial and acupressure techniques that I feel better afterwards. I feel less tension in my face.

Just as exercise shapes and contours the body, exercise for the face can shape and contour the face. What happens when specific exercises are used for the face? The muscles become stronger and the skin becomes resilient. The user looks refreshed because the droopy skin has been revitalized.

Resistance exercise has proven to tone and lift the muscles in your body. Facial muscles are no different. They, too, firm and lift with exercise. The nine-week program introduces two easy-to-perform exercises per week that target fifteen areas of the face and neck.

This highly effective program will improve your upper eyelids, your brows, your upper cheeks and double chin, jaw line, turkey neck, wattle, vertical forehead lines and much, much more.

Great book for learning how to change yourself both inside and out and adopt a healthier eating habits and behaviors. I would use the book as an educational springboard, take what makes sense to you, and modify the program along the way to meet your lifestyle.

I've done the 30-Health Makeover several times, mostly because I miss something along the way, or forget things over time. I first started this program in 1999, lost about 60 lbs. (without much exercise as I was working about 75-90 hrs. a week and my skin, hair and nails became healthier. I've always had people at work asking me what I'm eating because it looks and smells delicious. I sometimes substitute less expensive fish and the program works fine. By the end of the month, you're pretty used to the food combining and it's not hard to come up with simple meals of your own that follow the rules. Also, many maintstream grocery stores now have organic foods and lots of soy and/or rice substitutes, so shopping is easier than it was when I first started the program.

I checked out this book from the library and thought it was great. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the recipes call for some exotic ingredients. It's hard if you are on a budget. By the way I ordered this book from Amazon almost two months ago and still haven't recieved it. They never returned my money and they stopped responding to my emails. The book is good, but you might want to buy it somewhere else.

This book is full of practical ideas for organizing your home and life. I read the book within 36 hours of receiving it. It was informative and fun to read. Both authors are Christians and their faith fills the pages of the book. I have already implemented many of the ideas and it was simple to do so.

Had I known better the contents of this book, I would never have ordered it. I wish there was a way to obtain a better idea of subject matter. This book is geared toward much younger women, women with small children. I am retired, a grandmother whose grandchildren live thousands of miles away. I would like to return this book, but fear it may be too late to do so. I used precious gift funds from my children to purchase this book and sincerely wish I had not. It could be a good book for younger women, but not for me.

Emilie Barnes is an easy author to read, with some very creative ideas on how to be organized. Many of the ideas seem a little exessive and silly, but with a little more creativity they can be modified to one's life!

I had never heard of Emilie Barnes. I believe the year was 1985 or 86 in Bakersfield, CA, I was 27 yrs young, married with boys 2 & 5, a 50 hr a week job as a supervisor in a fast-food chain. I had a medium-size new home with a huge yard--and my husbands work was as demanding as mine.

I heard a seminar in time-management was to be held. For some reason I was under the impression it was to be about workplace time management. Upon arrival the forum for presentation and the attendees didn't seem quite like what I had expected--my ignorance was probably a good thing--otherwise I might have figured out sooner it wasn't going to deliver time mgmt for the workplace and not stayed--it was a ladies luncheon (largest % were nicely coiffed silver-haired retired women enjoying an occasion to get out of the doldrums of retirement years possibly and dress-up beautifully with there furs, and nicer jewelry) I had expected women in their 3pc business suit's etc. I was an exception in statistical breakdown of most in attendance.

Of course business presentations usually can be quite mechanical in delivery...when Emilie rose to begin,it was readily apparent it wasn't a presentation, but an heart-warming, humorous, exhilaration, about life---and her coin phrase "Take your house from total mess, to total rest to but more hours in your day".....I was captivated by her ideas, believability, and her exhilaration for what she had to share with us.

Her book was available that day...a purchase that continues to be life rewarding even absent of having a copy of the book. This book is the revision of the one I purchased, and re-purchased many times (I always gave my copies to others)back in those days I wasn't as articulate with my speech. A few recepients believed I thought they were bad housekeepers (some definitely needed some tips but not all).

I have always been called a excellent housekeeper--but my responsibilities than and still are huge--they just keep coming in different forms as I have matured(newly wed, young mother(22 thought I knew about being a parent), early pioneer of women fitting into male dominated jobs)going to college and getting double-degreed at 35) grand-parent at 39 (I was to young & my son was to young to be a parent (17) but out of all the things he could of done--being a grandma isn't a bad but a joy!--just wished it would of been yrs later!)

I am now 50 and the parent to my parent. Desparate to find balance (kids out of the house-I had relaxed a bit and was enjoying a different type of freedom)decided a refresher visit to Mrs. Barnes--musings and methods-would assist me in giving me some hours back in my day. Since the added responsibility of my Mom's full care (not complaining blessed to be able to do this for her) I seemed to have fallen out of sync.

I have daughter-in-laws who are struggling with the same issues along with new ones unique to the "Millennium Years". They try to manage time with limited resources, while caring around and tending to their wee-ones, homes, spouses, continuing education, or jobs.

I had no idea Mrs.... Barnes had gone on and become such a celebrated author. I am ordering 3 copies of this book and numerous other well-reviewed jewels to upgrade my library. Extra copies to pass-on to my daughters, hopefully using better verbiage than past recipient's. Instilling they are a necessity component of a woman's "pink toolbox" and "SOS" library. If read whether you like or don't like her spiritual interjections. there is everlasting value to optimizing one's day, maintaining a sunny deposition for the home and one's self!

I will add that I did use many of the organization ideas within my workplace. A cross-over of her many organizational ideas can be incorporated into a variety of workplace environments. Lastly, I have now used for years her plain white legal or standard size file box idea for storage---I just have upgraded my filing from the 3 x 5 cards and the recipe box to my computer--but the simple basic numbering system for them is still in place--along with some of the first boxes from 1985--her method and those boxes hold up over time---

Emilie Barnes thank you for sharing your wisdom, humor, and philosophical uptakes on life. My life has definitely been more by having been privileged to meet you and be so positively moved. In reflection, that moment is considered to be a life event. As we mature we realize certain events caused a marked change in the path of our life...some positive some negative-- I've come to know it wasn't hapber-chance but the work of the "divine hand". I am quite familiar with the beauty of his gentle guidance over my years and grateful for that special wondrous event!

A guidebook that really works!

I've read more than my share of how-to-get-organized books, but this is the one that works! Emilie Barnes is such a pleasure to read, her sincerity shines through, and her ideas, if you actually follow them, really work. Not everything will necessarily work for every reader, but the basics for an organized home and life are all here. Other books of this type all seem to insist that a reader must do it their way, but Emilie shows how to do it your own way. Reading her book is, as she says, like conferring with a wise friend. It's a treat!

The Ciminelli Solution: A 7 Day Plan for Radiant Skin is just that! The book describes ways on how to have healthier more beautfiul skin from the inside out. It seems like such a simple idea, but when it comes down to it, many people never think to take care of there skin from the inside. I have been doing the plan for a while now and have seen extensive results. Not only is the book a beautiful, enjoyable read but the recipes included are top notch. I have made most things and have like everything better than the next. Who ever thought healthy cuisine could taste so good? If eating like this keeps my skin and body looking and felling the way it does than I'm a devotee for life! Why wouldn't I be? Eating 5 star food and reaping all the benefits from the inside out you would be a fool not too! Though not mentioned much in her book, her product line is like nothing I have ever used before. So get the book, without a second thought, you will live a much happier, healthier, more beautiful life. Kudos to you, Susan!

The Ciminelli Solution at first glance seems very basic. We all know what we should be eating and how to take care of our skin. Right?
However reading this book and following her methods do bring results.
There is a step by step for detoxification of your skin. How to alleviate fatique is my favorite topic. I have a demanding job and decided to try her suggestion of using organic milk, egg, an organic lemon in my bath. I followed her instructions and after a 7 minute soak, wrapped myself in a warm blanket for a half an hour. I felt wonderful!
If you would rather rely on over the counter cleansers and bath salts, this book in not for you. If you would like to try detoxificatin and learn how to release impurities, I would say to buy this book.

This woman and her book were worthless, basic and a waste of my time and money. I was very dissapointed with her information and recommendations, they were no-brainers and for beginners who don't know what to think or do. Also, I find her credentials and style to be below par. Skip this book and find something from a professional.

There is nothing to learn from this book. NO new concept here.
She talks about detoxification and acidity of the body.
It reminds me of the Fat Flush book, by Ann Louise Gittleman, but this one is really good.

The book has very large margins, so the reading material is not that much, and in addition to that, half of the book
is about recipes, which are for ex: "Millet Casserole with Tempeh and Arame Seaweed"..Please !!!
"Mashed Celery Root"....."Eggplant Tofu Roliatini".....

Also there are some masks recipes for the face like avocado and lemon juice, pineapple pulp mask, etc, but this is not new.

Better buy Dr Perricone's book if you want to have a great skin.
Also "Eating for Beauty' by David Wolfe is a great book.
