Critical-Care Books

I understand people abhor reviews by someone who hasn't actually owned the product, and I usually agree. However...$25 for a KINDLE edition?!? C'mon. I'd love to own this; it's my specialty in my chosen field. But at only $5 off the physical version, there's no way I'll ever pay that much. Even New York Times Bestsellers aren't any more than $10, and this isn't a text book so that excuse doesn't fly either.

Let's see...no paper, no ink, no shipping and handling, no packers or other personnel involved...I thought the point of owning a Kindle was that it was *cheaper* because it's Green. Margaret L. Campbell (and/or McGraw-Hill) please take note and reduce this so people in YOUR chosen field can actually afford to buy and read it!

Poorly illustrated, disorganized, not up-to-dat

When you're paying so much for so little paper one could expect binding last at least a month. Had to glue loose pages and cover when received... Content is good as usual. Better off using Pocket Medicine instead.

I paid $28 used and that was too much. The book IS 400 pages but most topics are skimpy as to coverage. Lots of blank 1/2 pages as if there was nothing more to say yet no good coverage of PID, STDs, detecting signs of abuse (child, caller)and not a word on abortions, medical or otherwise. I hate to diss anyone's work but this could have been done lots better. Too simplistic and WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, coming from someone with lots of years' experience.
