Organized well with images, appropriate histories and annotated images, this book is an excellent resource for review and for oral boards.

My only dissatisfaction with the title is that the Diagnosis is listed as the title of the chapter (which is hard to overlook when you're actually trying to take a case as an unknown).

The book has a very interesting review of the princicipal topics of Critical Care Medicine. The chapters of Trauma,are very important for the knowledge of the medical team. The part of phisiopatology is the key in the understanding the principal problems of a patient critical ill. Chapter of IMAGIN is the basis of others parts of the book , in spite of the fact that , if we are able to evaluate the information of rx, all type of scans, we give a good patient care . The information about de manegement of childs is very interesting. Totally revised new edition of this textbook of critiical care medicine reflects the opinion of the best physician-scientists in the field in a very practical method. I especially love the summary boxes which give the gist of the chapter.

This is a long awaited comprehesive textbook of intravenous anesthesia, edited by Paul White, M.D., PhD.. There are excellent chapters on the pharmacodynamics and pharmakokinetics of the most frequently utilized I.V. agents of all classes. The section on Basic Intavenous Anesthetic Techniques gives the clinician all the information needed to safely journey through the realm of this controversial arena. This excellent resource should be included in every anethetist's library.

The book is easy and quick to read, and provides lots of ideas for simple games to entertain both you and your child! Learning to think is the basis for success in any child's educational career and this book provides you with ideas that will positively impact your children's analytical ability. Great for rainy days and car trips. The games are simple but effective, many only requiring pencil and paper, or handy, everyday objects. The kids won't even know they are learning--they will be asking for more! As a mother of two young children, I can highly recommend this book.

A succinct look at the practical tips typically handed on from consultant to trainee. This handy sized volume is packed with useful facts and observations collected together from multiple sources around the world. It is inexpensive and represents very good value for money. No anaesthetic trainee should be without it.

This text has a lot of information that isn't found in a lot of other anesthesia texts. It is a joy to read and I find it to be a great reference. This book is also available in Kindle format which is what I prefer.

It taught a lot of Doctors information

Finally, a book created to an upcoming specialty. I have been a vascular nurse for five years. I found the content and standards of care to be right on track with current treatment. The book covers everything from venous to arterial. It does a remarkable job stressing the importance of risk modification and vascular rehab. The book makes a nice review for those of us who have concetrated in this field. However, for those nurses working on surgical floors, the book is a wonderful reference.

I have been in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine practice for 9 years. This is the best ICU manual that I have come across. The material is thorough and up to date. At the same time, the authors & editors have kept it concise by using numerous tables and algorithms. Almost every aspect of ICU care was addressed. It is very hard to explain in words what a tremendous amount of information was put in such a neat, handy & easy-to-read manual. One has to really see and use this book to appreciate the great work. I recommend this book to anyone who works in medical ICUs.
