Very thorough. The best medical text yet!

If your looking for a text that is to the point and is written by clinicians for clinicians then this text is for you. It should be prescribed for any nurse doing intensive care or cardiac post graduate course work and should be in every units library. It provides excellent coverage of issues relevant to any cardiac or general intensive care with up to date references. Its good to find a book that for once is not 10 000 pages long and does not break your arms caring it. It is a pity there is not more color inside in the diagrams but I am guessing that is the difference between a price of $300 vs $90 and the text does not suffer for it. Recommended ++

This is an easy to read book full of usable, practical information for the bedside nurse. All aspects of cardiothoracic nursing are covered in enough detail to make the reader a well informed practicioner.

This book is a must-have for any nursing student, even if you're not in a critical care rotation. It is light, and small (compared to other nursing books) and packed full of very useful nursing interventions and rationals. I own this entire series of books and use them every week when doing care plans for nursing school. Highly recomended!!!!

This is an excellent book containing clear and concise information on cardiovascular diseases. A must have for any telemetry unit or coronary care nurse. The outcome measures are a valuable tool when writing care plans.

This comprehensive, well written nursing text covers all the pertinent areas for caring for these patients. Arranged logically. This text is a must for a nurse's library as it will be referenced repeatedly.

Exceptionally well written. Encompases the entire subject of carotid artery disease and intervention. It includes data in regards to both classical vascular surgical management and carotid stenting. Overall a well written comprehensive compedium of carotid arterial disease and surgical treatment.

This book is an excellent review for critical care nurses. I am a critical care educator and I use this text with my new nurses. It provides great rationales and terrific information on specific disease processes. I lost my first copy and moved heaven and earth to replace it!

I picked up this great little book at a Nursing conference. It is dynamic and easy to read. Each system is covered with thought and practicality. There are many questions and the answers are given with the rational. A terrific review book for the CCRN or just to brush up on your critical thinking skills. Terrific. I loved it.One of the most practical and interesting Nursing books that I have.

This is a great book for nursing students. It gives the rationale behind the case study. Unlike other books out there, this one will tell you WHY something needs to be done and what to look for.
