As a "graduate" of Craig Hospital myself, I felt that Mr. Tabak was writing about me. I had the good fortune of meeting the author in Feb. 2006 while I was in rehab at Craig following a car accident that broke my neck and bruised my spinal cord. I also live in Summit County, CO. Mr. Tabak's account of Craig's no-nonsense approach is right on. If you whine the therapists will keep pushing. That's why I too am walking today after only 6 weeks at Craig. I recommend this book to anyone who has experienced/knows someone who has a spinal cord injury/or is just interested in learning about Craig and SCI.

This is the book we have all been waiting for, the Magnum Opus of all Health Books. Never before to this extent has there been a book that contained TRUE and natural healing like Basil Gold's "Not on the Evening News". This is a book NO home should be without! My health has improved dramatically using simple foods and inexpensive techniques. This book will save your life if you are ill, or drastically improve the quality of your life if you are not. Highly recommended!

I bought this book 2 years ago when I was trying to conceive. The doctors gave up on us and told me that my only hope was invitro. I then began extensive research and stumbled upon this book. I have fibroids and endometriosis severely and had two laporascopies. I was losing hope fast. After I began reading the book, I slowly started making the dietary adjustments suggested(eliminating wheat products and red meat). I started to feel slightly better each month during my periods and I started to feel hopeful about conceiving... I asked God for direction and I know he led me to this book--he also answered my prayers. I now have an eighth month old baby and I'm doing better. I slacked off after giving birth, but i just started to read this book again--my symptoms have returned due to poor dieting. This book is truly a great buy!

This book provides a wonderful understanding and profound appreciation for the dedication and sacrifices of Dr. Edward Bach to bring us these beautiful, natural, simple essences. It provides insight to Dr. Bach's character and drive, and his compassion for those who have put trust in his genious to offer simplicity in healing.

This is a terrific comprehensive guide to megavitamin therapy (orthomolecular nutrition) from one of the earliest practitioners, Abram Hoffer, who is still going strong into his nineties. Basic concepts are covered, with chapters on individual vitamins and minerals as well as a section on treating specific illnesses. Highly recommended!

The area of hypnosis is fascinating but, alas, until now books about it were either solely from a traditional hypnosis perspective or, at the other extreme, solely Eriksonian. This book offers an understanding of everything about hypnosis and backed by university research

Ullman and Ullman's book is lucid and quite accessible--what I feel anyone new to homeopathy would want. I have ploughed through any number number of books on this subject, most of them organized encyclopedically. They offer nothing to me by way of introduction or explanation of homeopathy. The Ullmans' short book is truly for the beginner, starting with a brief history and description of this topic and illustrating aspects of it through the use of short, simple, and compelling case studies. In a word, this book answers these questions: What is homeopathy and is it for me?

A truly excellent book for those learning relaxation/meditation techniques. Has a lot of very practical advice and is written in a nice non-pretentious Australian manner - which doesn't mean it sounds like Steve Irwin. Useful for people who are ill or people who are uptight and who have heard about the mental benefits of meditation. Quite comprehensive in looking at what can actually help provide peace of mind.

This is a thoughful book for the general population on the pervasive problem of hypertension. It takes the reader behind the phenomenon of blood pressure and its relationship to the number one killers of heart attack and stroke.

The bottom line is that extensive studies by Dr. Robert Schneider and others show that Transcendental Meditation as part of Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health was found to improve blood pressure to levels comparable to that of drugs but without the harmful side effects. Definitely worth reading if you want to normalize your blood pressure.
