But Medicine Will Not Heal A Man Against His Own Will, Faith, And Desire

"..... The only real source of health for the individual is within himself.
At the last analysis all cures of dis-ease are mental cures, i. e., the cure is accomplished only when there is an acceptance of health, and of the terms of health, upon the part of the individual.
Medicine acts as a suggestion for health, through its chemical action upon the body and through the faith of the patient.
BUT MEDICINE WILL NOT HEAL A MAN AGAINST HIS OWN WILL, FAITH, AND DESIRE....."

Great Overview of the Future of Medicine
Helpful Votes: 5 out of 6 total.
Review Date: 2003-12-29
What an eye-opener this book is! As the United States begins the 21st century saddled with health care costs approaching $2 trillion/year, it's obvious our medical system is on the verge of total failure. But just when things seem hopeless, Trivieri provides us with overviews of 12 leading visionary healers and researchers whose work holds the promise of ushering in a new era of energy-based medicine that will be a quantum leap beyond anything our current system has to offer. What is most heartening to me is the fact that the technologies this book explores are already available and many of them empower the individual to gain control of his/her health from an effective self-care perspective. To prove this point, Trivieri includes practical self-care methods developed by each of the people he profiles, making this fascinating book much more than just a series of compelling interviews. I highly recommend it!

I have searched for such a long time for my ideal aromatherapy book -and I found it in this book by Alan Hayes. The book is set out in aneasy-to-follow manner and is full of wonderful, simple recipes to makewith essential oils. The book covers the issues of health and beautyin a very thorough manner. I have put to the test many of theserecipes and have loved virtually every one of them. This book is mybible of aromatherapy and I am sooooo happy that I managed to purchaseit... even though it is out of print!

Think Pink

This small books guides you teaches you how to use color breathing through a process of self-hypnosis. It does mention appropriately what to do to use self-hypnosis correctly and how to incorporate color breathing. The focus of the book is on using color breathing for the purpose of rejuvenation, and it has few inspiring stories about women who have erased wrinkles and even lost weight just by using color breathing - though she does suggest that you may get even better results if you incorporate the correct nutrition.

A valuable reference

The title of this book does not adequately convey the wealth of information within. Although it can be simply used as an excellent reference for alternative and effective healing, there is so much more presented with respect to understanding the mechanism of the human body and the relationship between the mind, body and spirit.

Mr Russell has been practising in the art of advanced classical healing all over the world for the last 30 years. He has an incredible depth of knowledge from many disciplines.

If you are seriously interested in a deeper level of understanding of our health and the human organism in general, this is a mandatory addition.

Juices and teas improve life quality
Helpful Votes: 4 out of 4 total.
Review Date: 2006-02-26
I have been involved with health issues for almost 30 years, and the information in John Heinerman's book is very helpful. The author tells how common foods and herbs can help relieve over 100 health conditions such as allergies, heart problems, gallstones, bladder infections, liver ailments, menopause, high blood pressure, warts, and yeast infections. The book is arranged in alphabetical order according to disease symptoms. For example, green tea was found to help heart disease in a Japanese study of men over 40. Total cholesterol was reduced and HDL increased. Many other disease solutions are discussed in the book, also. You'll be glad you bought this book!

Help Yourself Heal with Self-Hypnosis is such an informative book. I actually read many of the hypnosis scripts to my husband and he felt so relaxed. Linda is just incredible and offers so much knowledge to her readers. There is so much positive suggestion in this book that is makes it hard not to accomplish your goals and improve your health and well-being.

Real Herb Magic
Helpful Votes: 12 out of 13 total.
Review Date: 2000-12-30
There are hundreds of herbs in this massive 600 page guide to the magical use of herbs. The book covers lore, history, healing, lore, folk uses, shamanic and ritual uses. It states that most magical herbals contain mere shadows of the real magic of herbs and sets out to give us some of that real magical lore. In addition there are chapters of using herbs for healing, preparing herbal remedies, making incenses (with recipes, herbal dyes, making herbal paper etc. I would say that if you can only buy one herbal, buy this one, because it will tell you more than twenty others.
