The book is beautifully illustrated with photographs which relate to natural forest settings, and have been carefully selected to complement the text. Bouchardon considers trees as, "a vital part of the inheritance of Mankind." He stresses trees as architypal symbols of power, wisdom, fertility, and the essence of natural life itself. In our present information/communications society, there is a deep and urgent calling for us to re-connect with the peace, tranquility, and healing energies of the natural world. Within this context, the author discusses healing from a subtle-energy perspective. He provides a series of simple exercises and approaches for connecting with the natural energies of the Planet through meditations and consciousness interactions with certain species of trees, selected for their particular qualities and influences on enlightening the Human Consciousness.The book is particularly helpful in providing exercises and guidelines for expanding the intuitive senses and consciousness awareness, with the ultimate objectives of finding inspiration, inner peace, and healing. The author explains how he has developed his own system of extracting essential oils from the trees he has selected, and discusses the preparation and applications of these oils for healing and consciousness expansion. The book is thoughtfully indexed, and has a short, but well-chosen Resource List. The author expresses his feeling that the human race is at the threshold of an entirely new level of reality, and that conscious interaction with the Collective Intelligence of the Natural Environment is the mechanism that will effect this transformation.

Dr brooksby has opened an avenue for people who have downplayed the role of osteopathic physicians to see that DO's are an essential member of the medical community. I couldn't put this book down. Not only is it an easy read but an interesting one. He surrounds technical terminology with so many stories from his personal experience, I almost forgot I was reading a doctors book. A defenite MUST READ.

Dr. Halpern has presented the latest finding about Medicinal Mushrooms in this book. There has been a tremedndous amount of research done in this field since the previous books on the subject were published, and Dr. Halpern has reported on all these research trials. He has a very easy to read style, and has that rare ability to convey complex information in an easy to understand format. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in this field.

If your interested in the energetics of how each plant in a compound found in a Chinese Herbal formula does this is the book for you. Wonderful explanations and recommended dosages.

The author discusses how Indian astrologers, Ayurvedic healers and Tantric alchemists use gems in their practices and provides clear instructions for the creation of gemstone talismans and the performanc of rituals involving gems to bring about desired effects. The book serves as both a practical guide to the subtle nature of gemstones and as an overview of their use through the ages. The introduction looks at gemstones and the human race and gems and astrology, while Part 2 deals with particular stones and their ruling planets: ruby, pearl, coral, emerald, yellow sapphire, diamond, blue sapphire, hessonite and cat's eye. There is also a chapter on semi-precious stones and gems of medicinal value plus one devoted to healing with gemstones. It was interesting to learn that gems work with both Physicochemical and Pranic energy, whether the are worn as jewelry or taken orally in the form of pastes or oxides. Beautiful illustrations, Sanskrit script and figures enliven the text and there are many tables and astrological charts.

This book has been recommended by Professor Dr.Walter Accorsi as an excellent source of information regarding the amazing curing powers of the Herbal remedy called "Pau d'Arco". Dr. Accorsi is the worlds foremost authority on the "Medicinal Plants of the Rain Forest'. He has focused on this herb for the 40 years of his research and teachings on this subject.

Mentioned in the magazing "Share International" this book by Rolf Alexander seems to be an over lay of all his works during his training at the Lamasery in Tibet." The Doctor alone can't cure you" and "The book of right feeling" would give a good over view for us to read and get in tune with.

I read this book with interest and found it to be a very helpful and systematic guide to the simple yet elusive art of relaxation. For many of us in this modern world relaxation is what we most need and yet what we find most difficult to apply.

The value of this book is the clarity and accessibility of Edie's approach so that one can apply her understanding of relaxtion in a very practical and immediate way to one's life.

It contains a series of exercises that are accomponied by diagrams to clarify her explanation.

It also draws upon a synthesis of Eastern and Western approaches to mind and healing which is a dymanic theme in this modern world on how to live one's life in a wholesome and balanced way.

I would recommend this book to anyone seeking a clear, step-by-step approach to relaxation and its healing value.
