This book is a wonderful resource for any Holistic Healthcare Practitioner! While there are a bunch of books out on the market that deal with specifi therapeutic effects of herbs, this one trumps them all. Highly recommended!

Helpfully indexed, clearly written, and illustrated with clear pictures of pressure points, this book enabled me to treat a long-standing problem even though I had no previous experience with acupressure.

I've just picked up this book from a friends library and found it a wonderful introduction to healing. not preachy at all. As I teach several courses on healing, self-empowerment, visualization...I thought I would order a copy for myself and share with students...how disappointing it is now out of print. I hope that soon another publisher will pick it up. If you can get a used copy...and new to working with healing energy or want to rekindle your personal growth. This is a lovely book. Highly recommended.

This book is excellent for cross referencing material as well as a basic understanding of terminology.

Upon opening this book I immediately began learning and finding answers in every page. Fascinated I could not put the book down. It expanded my horizon and anytime now is my support during times of imbalance. What a treasure ! Full of encouragement to grow one's own magical garden! I love it and am happy to have this book as my companion.

Takes a little known subject and pulls it together in an easy-to-understand format. This book can get you going in a career as a reflexologist.

This is one of the most helpful books I own. It has helped me in treating myself and my cats. You are able to look up a sympton, problem or disease and find herbs, homeopathic remedies, foods, etc. that are used to treat the problem. There is also a comprehensive section on individual herbs and salts. It is the easiest book to navigate and I strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in natural health care.

This book gives a three to four page review of the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases. It is written for physicians, however a layman would gain understanding of common treatment protocols. The information it provides about available drug treatments is accurate as of mid-1997. The authors will often comment on products in clinical trials.

Tomatis book the conscious ear is an amazing book. Not only does he describe his life but also how he thinks and works. I thought I knew a lot about his sound therapy before reading the book, but after reading the book I almost feel like I had been in his studio. On the professional level his descriptions of the sound therapy are very detailed and the book makes you want to read more as well as his others books.

This book is wonderful. It has a great layout for each herb it reviews. It goes step-by-step telling history, traditional uses, proven effects, concerns and warnings, and even if the herb will effect the results of a drug test. All the above qualities and a also a colored picture of what the herb looks like. Also, a great book like this is "Medicine of the Earth," by Susanne Fischer-Rizzi that includes a few herbs this book overlooks.
