Not sure why it's out of print or the food cures book sells better, because this book is much better- maybe just the title wasn't as good. I hope it comes back into print - I have a copy but I'd love for other people to be able to get it.

By far the most informative and easy to understand self help book I have ever purchased. It helped me understand the connections between various organs and how even the weather/temperature has an effect on how I feel. I cannot say enough good things about this book. It is definately a must have for anyone interested in their health.

Finally, the truth emerges

For the past several decades, westerners have been exposed to the great "promise" of what has been termed "traditional Chinese medicine," (TCM). Kim Taylor's book is a thorough, readable, dispassionate and historical account of the evolution of this great charade. TCM is convincingly shown to be a modern invention, one that is being rejected by the modern Chinese, even as has been embraced by some westerners who have bought into the concept. It is mandatory reading for anyone with an interest in the field.

Right Brained Readers will love this book!

The Chinese Way to Health deals with so many different elements. Beautiful full color photographs showing actual herbs, massage techniques, explaining the maridians of the body and more. This is quite the rererence book for diagnosing problems and determining solutions. Easy to understand diagrams that are cross rererenced by diet, food preperation, massage etc. WHY DO I SAY IT IS FOR RIGHT BRAINED PEOPLE? Simply because I am a person with a very short attention span and find it hard to digest straight text with long explanations. The author has effectively caputured a way to use the visual aids of beautiful full color photography and marry it with the clinical information. Strong logic plays a part in Traditional Chinese Medicine and author, Stephen Gascoigne has conjoined the knowledge of the Ancients with the hunger of my knowledge. I lent out this book to a friend and never got it back. I used it as a reference so much that I have came to Amazon to replace it.

Excellent Teaching Tool

These case studies are an excellent adjunct to the two volumes on clinical application of neuromuscular techniques by Chaitow & Delany. They bring the neuromuscular techniques to a very practical level of application. Especially valuable are the intake and client assessment sections giving full consideration to client history, activities, nutrition, and many precipitating factors which a therapist needs to take into consideration. The section in each chapter on Questions for the Reader gets the student/therapist actively involved in thinking about the client and the case in a multidimensional way, from presenting symptoms to perpetuating factors to the use of various assessment tools. Finally, the authors share their thinking about the case in the section on Clinical Impressions and Treatment. This too is a valuable addition as it helps us to train our thinking by seeing how the experts understand the case.

This book is well organized and helps the student/therapist to look at all aspects of a client and their presenting conditions. It is designed to integrate well with the other two volumes, and together these three texts make an important contribution to teaching, learning and applying neuromuscular therapy.
