Simply Beautiful! A recommended read for those interested in self healing and tapping into the mysteries of natural healing.

Great information, but I had already read and studied others of Emoto's books, "Hidden Messages in Water" and "Messages From Water" which I really, really liked and connected to the possibilities in healing, so this book didn't excite me like the others had. This one talks more about how to use this information in your meditations, and combining it with music. The molecular structure of water is changed with your thoughts and emotions, and the planet and human bodies are both 70% water. The possibilities are endless for what is possible. There's no reason for anyone to be sick any more!

This book might be small in size, but it is jam packed with excellent wisdom that touches on so many topics. From abundance, love, universal principles of manifestation, health (so much I never knew before I learned from this book) nutrition, meditation, and the list goes on. My copy is all marked up and underlined in so many important sections.
I would recommend this book to anyone that is embarking on a conscious path - you will not be disappointed! Aside from the excellent content - this book is a pleasure to read.

Guidance to not only healthier lifestyle, but the whole body/spirit/mind connection. Easy and powerful read, saturated with poignant quotes. Proved to be very helpful while dealing with illness in the family. Highly recommended.

For those of us interested in Native American Culture , even though we may , or may not be A part of it , this book is perfect.

The original peoples of North America lived in a harsh and unpredictable environment. It is fascinating to learn how they managed to thrive while maintaining their sense of reverence for the earth and all living things.

I treasure this book because it is a reminder of how to live in harmony with nature.

I don't think that I had realized how many types of healers that there were practicing in the US. I was amazed at the difference in their approaches and in their philosophies. Yet, their experiences with healing helped me understand the power that they, and all of us have, for healing. I think after reading these wonderful tales of 14 healers I know a lot more about listening to my own body's needs. This is a powerful book for anyone who wishes to know more about how we heal and are healed.

I can't say it any plainer than that. The concept of this book... tell the stories of several (15 to be exact) healers is innovative and I hope other authors follow suit.

As a seeker of principles and common threads of energetic healing, I found that "Healing Spirits" was a breath of fresh air. It gives you a good look at the approaches, or the philosophies of healers of a wide variety of backgrounds... a cross- section of sorts.

This book, and "Healers on Healing", by Richard Carlson and Benjamin Shield, are at the top of my list of books recommended to friends with an interest in this area.

I would recommend this book highly to anyone who has a serious interest in the beneficial aspects of Chinese medicine on their health. A curiousity of Chinese herbology will be satisfied by the easy to understand explanations of the properties of herbs, their uses, & Simple Remedies. The descriptions of Chinese Herbal Patent Medicines and Chinese Herbal Diet, and explanation of the causes of Disease round out the whole picture, serving to educate the reader in a manner not witnessed in most Western health/diet literature. Lastly, this is a good resource guide & organized well to take along shopping. Lesley's "The Herbs of Life" is a great companion to this. I purchased it several years ago & refer to it over & over again. Enjoy!

This book has given me information as to better help me to help myself. I have gone to the local China town and bought some of the chinese patent medicine and it has helped me. The book has recipes of soups that help each organ system. It talks about remedies for ailments, understanding what causes disease, how emotion can cause disease, forms and uses of chinese herbs, the properties of herbs and determining which herbs to use. It is a wonderful guide to learn to how help yourself. It gives you Chinese Herbal fundamentals. I recommend this book highly.

Every husband should get this before he gets married. It has done wonders for my wife's tired feet and body as well as helped with our marriage! I highly recommend this book!

If you are looking for a teaching aid to reflexology this is the book for you! Easy to read and undersand, lots of photographs showing the application required for positioning your hands and fingers to perform the massage. Highly recommend this book.

Louise Gruenberg's Herbal Home Hints is incredibly useful and well written. Her formulas are wonderful tools for cleaning naturally with herbs. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in herbalism and natural cleaning and home beautification ideas.

This book helped me clean everything around the house naturally and organically! Louise's writing style is humorous and whimsical. I highly recommend it.

This book is exactly what I was looking for. As a student of altenative medicine, this will be a great addition to my "health library". There is a check list for one's herbal first aid kit/medicine cabinet, very concise and easy to follow directions, a little history of the herbs, a list of ailments and what to use. The ingredients for the most part are easy to get your hands on and if you can't seem to find what you are looking for--there is an extensive resource guide that includes everything Debra St Claire has discussed in the book! Lip balms, salves, deodorants, mouth washes, baby products---you name it and you will most likely find it in this book. If I were to choose one book to start me on the path to health altenatives, this would be the one I would choose. Five star? No. How about a six!

Debra St. Claire (formerly Debra Nuzzi) did a series of videos with a book inside of it that was the basis for this book. Ms. St. Claire expanded the material and has made a very easy to understand and accessible book for both the beginner and advanced medicine maker. I had the pleasure of seeing Debra at Herfest a couple of years ago, and she is a fantastic teacher! This book is certainly something every herbalist or anyone interested in natural healing should own.

This book is a collection of centuries-old herbal secrets. Some of these secrets my mother has only heard whispered but never learned. I am sure that my own tight-lipped doctor uses them, because he is in his seventies, yet his skin has the texture of a thirty-year-old.
These formulae work. They restore health, youth, and vigor - the qualities that the Chinese doctors call "beautiful." The speed at which the restoration takes place is only inhibited by the initial state at which the user begins.

I'm amazed that these ancient formulas are so useful and work so well even today. Maybe it's because they have been used for so many generations. The ancient stories and backgrounds behind these formulas are very interesting, e.g., how some recipes were used by Emperor Guangxu and Empress Cixi. I recommended some hair rinse formulas to my friends and they really liked those recipes! Those mouthwash recipes are very helpful too. The recipes are easy to follow, with detailed ingredients, amounts, and preparation methods described. The explanations in Chinese medicine and scientific research are easy to understand. The book gives detailed references that are very convincing. It's a good resource about traditional Chinese culture too, such as those aromatics bags that were very popular in ancient China. It's almost unbelievable that ancient Chinese had developed so many comprehensive methods for beauty.

I learned more from this little volume about health than I've learned from many other much longer books. I appreciated the brevity, clarity, and simplicity of Michael Moore's style---as well as his wry sense of humor. If you are interested in health, let alone herbs, let alone herbs for the urinary tract, I highly recommend this book.
