Self help books are great. They are inspirational and sometimes motivate you to make life changes. Making the changes stick though is often the most difficult part.

The 7 Aha's of Highly Enlightened Souls looks at change in an entirely new way. Normally, we look at change from an active perspective. What can I do to change my life? What steps do I have to take to achieve X? How do I go about getting Y? Essentially, we are looking outside our selves. We are trying to change our environment or another person so that our lives become better.

The 7 Aha's of Highly Enlightened Souls tells us that change isn't about doing it's about being. It states that the only real way to change is to look within and make efforts in self-knowledge and self-understanding. These explorations will lead to true growth and happiness. Most importantly though, this book reminds us that when we fixate and try to push something away, we are giving that situation more power which does the opposite of what we actually intend.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It gave me a lot to think about, it showed me a new perspective. The book was quick to read, although I found myself re-reading key points. There is a lot of wisdom packed into this book, it was a delight. AHA! is a good way to describe how you feel when you read these truths. I feel very peaceful and centered, the truth really does set you free! Thank you Mr. George!

Deedre Diemer has a wonderfully clear and concise knowledge of the mysteries and applications of the Chakra energy centers and the healing applications found within all of us. My life has become enriched using her techniques for balance, clarity and healing. I now feel confident and at peace with the mind, body, spirit connection that seemed to be missing in my life prior to unlocking Ms. Diemer's insightful Chakra Therapy techniques. Apparently, I had energy blocks which limited my ability to realize my fullest potential. Kudos to Deedre Diemer and her work " The ABC's of Chakra Therapy"! This book is insightful, informative and easy to follow and use in everyday circumstances. A jump start for anyone needing a fresh perspective on the healing qualities of unlocking energy blocks.

Good way to learn to calm & center yourself.

This book is helpful for parents as well as professionals working with babies. A brief and simple explanation of the meridian theory is given, but is not necessary to understand some of the hand positions and therapy that is helpful for kids.

An excellent pick for any parent's library.

Acupoint and Trigger Point Therapy for Babies and Children: A Parent's Healing Touch shows parents how to release restricted muscles and allow bodily energy to flow freely to aid in the body's healing abilities with colds, infections, diarrhea and other common conditions. Acupoint and trigger point touch therapy are covered in depth, with verbal explanation of techniques and logic accompanied by pictorial examples. Basic children's anatomy and physiology are presented in easy terms parents can understand, making this an excellent pick for any parent's library.

Touch is so very important to the healthy growth of children. It's obvious that children need lots of hugs and kisses in order to know they are loved. What's the first thing we do when our little ones are hurt or upset? We embrace them. When they are ill, without even thinking we stroke their head and massage the hurt away.

Acupoint and Trigger Point Therapy For Babies and Children is a resource that takes our natural healing touch to a whole new level. From this book, parents can learn to sooth their children through easy massage. The actual massage points follow the various lines of flow according to meridian theory. To the average person, this might seem a little over their heads or complicated. However, many parents will be pleasantly surprised that they have already been automatically massaging a number of these points when their children were ill or in pain. Therefore, the practices in this text merely expand on our natural instincts.

I LOVE this book. I have read several acupressure books and this one is the best and easiest to use.

The pictures make it very easy to follow. I have gotten a lot of results from using the techniques shown in the book.

I also like the way it is setup. It is very easy to find what you are looking for quickly.

Great!!

I have been doing Accupuncture for years now, but when I came across this book, decided to give "the workout" a try in lieu of the pricy Accupuncture appts and have been very please with the results! I perform the workout 3 times a week and find that I stay much more balanced and healthy than the monthly accupuncture appts. The main key I have found, make sure you are sending pressure in the right direction as mentioned in the book. If applying pressure the wrong way, may get adverse effects.

THE Top Book of it's kind....

This book is one of the most excellent texts of it's kind. While providing sound and applicable information for the professional, it also is infinately readable for self help. Dr. Cross is amazingly generous with his information. His writing style in interesting and clear. As someone who has studied a wide range of alternative medical practices, I really appreciate Dr. Cross's ability to boil down huge amounts of information into very practical and usable applications. All of his books are a must for someone seriously interested in bringing the maximum to their health care practice.

Excellent presentation of Acupressure and the practical applications associated with Acupressure. Emphasis placed on how the art relates to Western medicine. Information is presented in a clear, concise, easy-to-understand manner that covers everything from the basics to advanced techniques used by the "masters". Highly useful and recommended as a resource for those involved in the allied health professions or the lay-person with an interest in Acupressure.

As soon as I started reading this book I was hooked! It provides the reader with a huge amount of health information in a language that anyone can understand.

Each topic is covered entirely and it doesn't leave the reader wondering what to do next. It provides direction.

Too much info to soak up with one reading though. You won't be able to keep yourself from wanting to continually refer back to it. I know I refer to my copy everyday and use it for motivation as well as reference.

After reading this book you can't resist the urge to share with others what you have learned as it touches on topics that affects everyone.

I have been to many Doctors and Specialists, and in hind-sight I feel I had an operation that wasn't necessary. My problem still existed afterwards. It wasn't until I started to put the theories behind this book into practice that my problem cleared up.

If you know deep down inside that something is wrong with your health but modern medicine hasn't helped, purchase this book. You have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain.

An incredible book!

This is one of the best books I have come across in years! I am a Certified Nutrition Consultant and working towards a Dr. of Naturopathy degree. Although parts of this book is a bit technical to the casual reader, it has pulls together so many facets of information that you really need to have in order to make wise choices concerning your health. Nutrition plays a key role in that and Ron addresses this incredibly well. I would highly recommend it for those of you who are dissastisfied with the answers you are getting from your doctor and want to take back control of your health care in a responsible way.

This is probably the best work on healing I have read so far; I am now on my third reading and it will not be the last as there is so much in this book to chew on. Whitmont, who was born in the early part of the century, is (if he's still alive) an M.D. and psychotherapist, and also well versed in homeopathy, alchemy, chaos theory, the theories of Rupert Sheldrake and David Bohm, and many other topics such as art, literature, and drama. He has a truly broad intellect as well as a highly developed intuitive sense. I would say his ideas are firmly within the humanist tradition, without any New Age leanings. Indeed, he shows that in healing, darkness is just as important as "the Light"--for the darkness is where one goes to mine the gold of the deepest human experiences. He does not approach the causes of illness from the standpoint so prevalent today of "we cause our illnesses by not dealing with our emotional or soul issues."

Rather, he points out that illness, as well as all phenomena, proceeds from a deeper level of reality whose patterns are not readily discernible or understandable when viewed from the three dimensional reality we inhabit. Although I cannot summarize the book well because it contains so much, I would say that his basic stance is that everything of the visible world is rooted in an invisible reality, an "implicate order," (to quote physicist David Bohm) and that in healing we must take that implicate order into consideration just as much as we do the physical reality of the illness. His way of doing this takes up a good part of the second portion of the book. (The first portion explains his way of looking at man, reality, and the universe, with an interesting first chapter on homeopathy.)

I highly recommend this book to any healer, whether you are a nurse, physician, psychotherapist, energy healer, somatics practitioner, whatever.........it's not necessarily an easy read but it will open up many dimensions of the healing process to you.

This is a testimonial for Barbara G. to write in to Amazon.com about the book Allergy Relief that she read and praised (spontaneously).

I wish people would buy Allergy Relief. It is so clear and simple to understand and there's so much in it that you can do yourself. Besides being good for my allergies, it says many important things about how to live well. I want to be healthy and live a long time and feel lucky that i found this book to help me.

I don't have any allergies but my brother has. I got this book and before giving it to him I read it. It explains what allergy is, what causes it and of course how to deal with it. If you suffer from allergies, i believe this is the book for you to cure them naturally. My brother (who is also against any form of medication) is already doing MUCH MUCH better after following the instructions in this book; improve his immune system, make the environment around him better and understand what allergy is. Simple steps you can take will lead to better living without much effort really. The book is simply written, easy to understand, which I find to be very important. Some books are heavy and boring because there are authors who think that they talk to other doctors and not to simple people who did not study medicine (Sorry for that). Allergy problem? I don't think you will find a better book on the subject than this.

I was not expecting the unbiased, extensive and well researched information this book offers. When I first received it, I put it aside until about a month later and then decided to check it out. I was very surprised. It is a good reference book for everyone who has interest in alternative methods regarding maintaining good health or correcting health problems. I purchased it because a family member deals with paralysis but found that everyone can benefit from the information it offers.

Highly Informative

I am an RN who works in a long term facility. Recently, we have had several young patients who have suffered spinal cord injuries. As a nurse, my job is also to give unbiased information to patients. I purchased this book to become better informed of alternative treatments that I may discuss with these patients. I found it incredibly useful and informative-- especially when the medical community says "there is nothing else you can do". There are many other treatment alternatives. There is no cure, but if I can help steer someone towards relieving some painful symptoms, then I have done my job. Written well enough, that I, in fact, have given it to several patients and their family members to read as well.
