I found this book very good to describe how music is used with students who might have special needs which have to do with speech. There are also good lesson plans to be used in such cases. it's a well-written book

This is a marvelous review of statistics which a graduate student or professional needs to critically read and evaluate commercial tests. It is equally valuable in devising a test instrument.

The book covered the available knowledge in the field but did not add much new, apart from bio-feedback which does not appear to be available in this part of the country (Bath)

I needed the book for Diagnostic Methods of speech and Language Pathology so I purphased it for my class. I liked it and it is very helpful for me because it talks about activities and how to perform them for a child that is learning how to communicate. A very good read I think. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in how a child communicates whether it be one's own child or the simple interest in children's skills. This product contains important information and is easy to read and understand. The design is unique and fun to look at. Because it comes in a spiral book form, it makes it easy to read without having to hold the page down while learning a new activity.

Studying anatomy and physiolgy is usually overwhelming. This book breaks it up in a clear and consice way.

Contrary to the impression its packaging may give, this book doesn't present anything like a complete guide to developing communication skills for children with autism. Instead, what it describes is one technique to build simple interactive games to help begin communication with children with limited language.

However, this can be valuable for many children, and the book is clear and helpfully illustrated with photo examples of real-life games. So I'd recommend it on that basis.

I found Stone's Handbook of Language and Literacy to be a very well documented compilation of studies dealing with various aspects of language and literacy development. This was a challenging tome as an introduction to the subject matter. Learning the "language" is always demanding. However, I really appreciated the extensive references, and the overviews of research done on the various topics.

This is a must read book for anyone who wants to start a career in Cross language speech perception. It has almost all the basic information covered up and gives a realistic view of research in the speech perception area. A good book to learn the basic differences between theories and ideas of different people in the field.

This book makes very interesting reading not only as a text book, but as general reading material. It makes the reader think about how communication is affected by culture and opens the mind to deeper thoughts about who we are.

This was my textbook when I first took a class about organic disorders. I thoroughly recommend this book as a clear and concise guide to disorders that is easy for the undergraduate to understand and read.
