We got this book at a bargain bin at Borders, my son loves it! It has nice big colorful pages and fun things like flaps to lift, a mirror to look into, a wheel to spin and a pop-up character.

This is probably an ideal book for a child about the age of 3 and up, but my son was only 18 months when we got it and we read it several times a day for a week or two, per his request. The subject is probably above his head, but I think he just likes the pictures and things to do. I think it's a cute book, and I know my son likes it!

Faidley is one of the best lightning photographer I've ever known and his books are breathtaking yet enjoyable. His books for children are comprehensive. This one is no exception. It is a high-quality production. Be careful! Your kid may get hooked and want to become a meteorologist or storm chaser!

A great starter book on an important issue...but the book most comprehensive as to explaining this issue as it currently exists as well as what to do about it, in the format of lesson plans, activities, original literature and a detailed school-wide program is Bully-Proofing Children: A Practical, Hands-On Guide to Stop Bullying

I really like to read this book to my little sister, Julianna. She likes it, too. Her favorite part is when he goes to his Grandma and Grandpa's house. She likes to read it to herself, she knows all of the words and "reads" along with me, but sometimes she takes it away from me when I'm reading it to her because she likes it so much! My family likes to hear her say the car seat has a "ticky pot or two". It is one of her favorite books! The end. Elizabeth

Peanut's Emergency

Review Date: 2008-11-03
Peanut's Emergency by Cristina Salat is an excellent way to portray to children the importance of having an "emergency plan". Events and plans in life do not always pan out the way we expect them to, so knowing what to do, who to call or where to go is an amazing strategy for parents to discuss with their children. In Peanut's Emergency we meet a young girl, Peanut, who after the last day of school expects to be picked up by her mother. Yet, something seems uncomfortably wrong when her mother never shows up at her school. With everyone gone, including her teacher Ms. Sarah Anne, Peanut is left with the decision of what to do in order to be safe and find her mother. Peanut encounters many situations in which she must use her better judgment and lessons her parents taught her in order to find her mother or her way home. Filled with life lessons, good decision making and problem solving strategies, Peanut's Emergency is a great book to read to children to teach them the importance of emergency plans, judgment and problem solving.

Rabbits Habits

In the book called "Rabbits' Habits", there are three little Rabbits and these three little rabbits have very bad habits. They can't do much without having a bad habit involved. One Rabbit has a bad habit of leaving things here and there. Another rabbit has a habit of pushing and punching to get his way and the other has a habit of pulling and pinching so he could be first in line. Will there rabbits learn? This book teaches kids about good and bad habits. It teaches them about what is right and wrong.
I recommend this book to kids from 5-6
This book was good. I like how the words rhymed.

Rutgers University Project on Economics and Children

The fire department in the small town of Hardscrabble needed a new firefighter, but no one responded to the advertisement except for a dragon named Spark. Lucky for Spark that he was the only applicant, so he got the job on the spot. Spark quickly demonstrated his work ethic, willingness to train, and ability to learn new skills. But would his secret fear of fire get in the way of fighting real fires on the job? This delightful book not only provides children with useful fire safety tips, it also incorporates some basic economics concepts related to jobs and skills. The cheerful illustrations and likeable characters further make Spark the Firefighter a great book for young readers.

This is a very good book. It's about a 12-year old girl named Cassie who was sexually abused by the man of the children she babysat. Reading this book makes you think about all the things going on today in this world. Especially that this book is a true-life story, it also may make you feel more protective of your-self. I have read another book of the same author, called Detour for Emmy. Both books can inspire their readers and teach a whole lot about the world.
