I am amazed...every time I flip Cancer Strategies open, I find something pertenant whether an answer or something to work with. Easy to read and packed with answers. I love this book.

I wish I had read this book last year when my son was undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. This is a must for not only those who have been treated for cancer but also for us who want to do the most possible to prevent cancer. Dr. Russell Blaylock writes clearly so it can be understood by the average reader. He includes references and resources and lists websites where these products can be found. I have recommended this book to several of my friends. It it a MUST read for anyone looking to maintain their health, before or after cancer and to ensure their best chances of preventing its return. It's a 10 plus in my opinion.

Natural Strategies For Cancer Patients
This is an excellent book -- easy to read, and full of descriptions of natural supplements for fighting cancer whether your are undergoing chemo / radiation or not. It also discusses substances that cause or enhance the spread of cancer. Highly recommended.

This book's primary intent is to outline for a person who has cancer the following:

Mechanisms of cancer cell production, or what causes cancer cell propagation and "immortality".

What "Natural" plant derivitives in pure form that attack and mitigate
cancer cell production.
Chaotic vascularization or blood supply to cancer bodies,
Metastasis or how cancer propagates through your body.
Apoptosis-cell self destrution that is programed by its internal DNA.

Defines the role of the immune system that actually intervenes to arrest cancer, and what you can take to intervene and help restore your immune system.

What is Chemotherapy and Radiation? What it does to your body. Helpful informative realistic description of what a person is up against.

Blaylock is one of those bright people who has mastered neurosurgery and a vast array of medical literature over his life time, since he is a teacher he has put alot of effort to make a decent informative read that is suitable for most people.

I would recommend devising some method to categorize the information. If you have cancer you will need it.

I have been in the Medical field (RN, ER & ICU)for about 40 years. I am SO TIRED of watching you people DIE! I don't care what disease you have..the best way of helping yourself is through YOUR DIET! It is scientific and it is documented! Most Doctors don't know...don't believe it..and won't tell you..after all...there is no profit in it! If you have a Doc that does...KEEP HIM/HER! About this book...take the word 'Cancer', out, and put any disease or condition in place of it...this is about cleaning yourself up so your body can heal itself. (Did you know most cancer patients die from 'malnutrition', NOT cancer!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!SAVEYOURSELF! This book tells you how to do it. Please pass this info along, you might save someone you care about.

I returned this book unread because there's no Index. How do the authors think you are going to look anything up in this book after you've read it? Apparently, they think you won't want to look anything up. If the information contained is of so little value, why read it in the first place? I wish Amazon included information about an Index or lack thereof in the spec's.

I knew of Gary Craig through his Emotional Freedom program and was anxious to know more about what was discovered through collaboration with David Feinstein and Donna Eden. I have to say that I have been very pleased with the book and have and will continue to recommend it. I found some of the techniques in the book (new to me) and have applied them with success.

Excellent book........ puts the puzzle pieces together for me with EFT !!! I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in making changes in their lives.

I have a few EFT books and am a daily tapper and this one definitely has a lot to offer. Highly recommended.

Another great book that teaches how to use Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) effectively, among other things. I was especially grateful to have the perspective of a used-to-be skeptic who was involved in medical research and how he came to accept this new and usual technique. This book would be great for skeptical people who have doubt about this technique actually being able to work. If you even have a slight amount of hope that EFT and other energy healing techniques can help you, please read this book. I know without a doubt that the techniques work! Stick with it, find someone who is experienced to help you, but give it a try! What do you have to lose...other than a lot of negative baggage that is weighing you down?!

Everyone in America needs to read this book!! Anyone in America that has a liver problem, from Hepatitis C to liver cancer can get get better from taking this product. We have been to Dr. Berkson's office, and he is a marvelous Dr.!! You should have some kind of review to let people know about this book.

If you've heard of alpha-lipoic acid and its being extremely helpful in treating diabetes, liver illnesses, mercury intoxications, or as an anti-oxidant, you may want to know more about it before taking it. This book, by Burt Berkson (MD, PhD) is an excellent answer to your worries. Berkson describes how he got to be interested by alpha-lipoic acid, it's safety record ("FDA"-approved in Germany for 50 years), it's uses, and, perhaps most interesting, his views on medicine.

Not only does Dr. Berkson come across as a very competent and compassionate physician, especially in regards to lipoic acid, on which he is America's leading expert, he is also an outspoken critic of what he correctly sees as problems in modern American medicine. In the first chapter, he describes how he almost ended his career when he saved the life of a dying patient against the wishes of his boss, and how he would do it again. No insurance policy and few doctor's visits can provide the benefits of his invaluable candor, which serves to immunize his readers with a large and healthy level of cynicism about medicine as it is practiced in the United States today.

One thing that this book does not contain is advice on what dosage of lipoic acid to ingest. This may be a sign of great wisdom; in Germany, where Dr. Berkson worked at the Max Planck Institute, and where lipoic acid has been on the market for decades, neurologists who exclude a potential heavy metal poisoning in their patients are not regarded with the sort of wonderment that mermaids and unicorns otherwise garner. Those with a heavy metal problem can suffer some extremely unwelcome and perhaps permanent side-effects if they take the sort of dosages that others easily tolerate. By not giving any advice on this subject, Dr. Berkson certainly isn't giving any bad advice on this subject.

I heartily recommend this book.

Dr. Berkson has put his research and findings into terms that all can
understand. I had hepititis and recovered, but suffered from minor
liver malfunctions which triggered constipation and poor digestion of
fats. Merely the addition of Alpha Lipoic Acid has helped restore my
liver function and aleviated my problems. I've gained much usable
information from his book about preventing heart disease, a family
problem....I am thankful that I have finally found a supplement that
has helped me with those continuing liver related problems.

As a two time cancer survivor, I wish I had found this book 10 years ago and I might not have had to go through all I have. The author is a wonderful physician and writes in a manner that is clear and understandable. The material is so important for anyone to maintain a high antioxidant status for overall health. Thank you, Dr. Berkson.

If only the author had used twenty pages to say what he has said in whole, long, 155 page book. It is too laborious to get essential facts- like optimum dosage for example is nowhere to be found easily, if at all. He knows his stuff, but must it take so long and why no summary page? Also it is a one size fits all- how do people survive all the diseases he outlines without this potion?

This book was an instant hit. I bought it for my sister,
and went right to the health store to buy the coconut oil.
It really helps. I would highly recommend this book for
anyone with pain or illness.

THE PRODUCT: I've often wondered about the benefits of coconut oil, and after reading this book, I was convinced I would be in better health if I took coconut oil. If nothing else, I thought, this book has gotten me very excited and hopeful that I may be able to improve my overall health. It's now a couple of months later, and I am seeing MUCH improvement in my health. My consistently high blood pressure has gone down to the low side of good....I'm ecstatic! For the first time in years, I don't have that "bursting at the seams" feeling in my head from high blood pressure. I also have hypo-thyroidism, and I just had my blood drawn last week to see if my thyroid is leveling out as well due to my use of coconut oil.

I'm not finished reading this book and read it in chunks and have found it fascinating. It's amazing how little respect coconuts and coconut oil get. Frankly, coconut oil has been wrongly villified - if only more people knew! Thanks to Dr. Fife, people can know the truth of just how miraculously healing coconut water, coconut milk and especially coconut oil can be.

I don't think you'll find another book like this !

I am a true believer in the fact that you become what you think about...meaning that you move in the direction of your most dominant thoughts. For years I have been studying and practicing health alternatives and have felt like there was still something missing. I spent many hours thinking and meditating about how nice it would be to have one simple miracle product that was natural and totally beneficial to my overall health and well being.

Well in September 2008 a friend of mine had Amazon secretly drop ship Dr. Fife's book "Oil Pulling" to my home and being an avid reader, I immediately began reading and the more I read, the more intrigued I became and suddenly realized that my thoughts had manifested me to this point in my life and that I truly had discovered the simple miracle product that I was so wishing to discover.

After quickly reading "Oil Pulling" and discovering all the benefits, I ordered 3 more of Dr. Fife's books with "Coconut Cures" being one of them and have not been able to put the book down since. Everytime I open the book up I learn something new and amazing. All these years have passed and I'm just now discovering the amazing health benefits of coconuts. It is just incredible! I highly recommend these two books to everyone!!

This is a wonderful book that I strongly recommend it to everyone that has mental illness like OCD, Depression, etc. I am an OCD patient for a few year. I have a full time job and the ocd and anxiety normally came 2-3 times per week. After I found this book and also bought the author's DVD for OCD, and followed the instruction. After a month, I felt my OCD get improved, and after 3 months, my OCD disappeared. So if you didn't see the improvement in a short time, just keep your faith and keep doing it. It will show. I am looking forward to see the author in the near future and learn more about Kundalini yoga to treat my other mental illness. I have been recommended this book to all my friends who had mental illness or who had friends that were mentally ill. It was truely a blessing that I get a chance to learn this book.

The techniques contained in David Shannahof-Khalsa's book are easy to follow and extremely effective. I highly recommend it to anyone attempting to heal themselves or others. In an age when Eastern and Western medicine are joining forces to combat many illnesses, Kundalini yoga is leading the charge by performing scientific studies on the efficacy of its techniques. Bravo.

I came across KUNDALINI YOGA MEDITATION while doing research for my new book, MORE CLLIENT HANDOUTS FOR BRIEFER DEEPER THERAPY. Shannahoff-Khalsa's idea that selectively activating one half of the autonomic nervous system through unilateral forced nostril breathing made immediate sense to my untrained medical mind. The other findings I was discovering on meditation used brain scan imaging to show that changes in activity levels in various centers of the brain produced results that can reverse medical and emotional problems. Shannahoff-Khalsa's methods are more specific to particular anxiety and mood disorders. As a mental health practitioner with over 30 years of experience I am excited to have a tool that can work at the neurobiological level. I will need traininging in Kundalini Yoga and will have to find ways to adapt methods to the very conservative population I treat in central Florida.

This book is unlike any other. Clearly written so that anyone may absorb the wealth of knowledge offered here. Shannahoff-Khalsa weaves together scientific insights to a plethora of conditions/disorders, but also includes practical & proven tools to alleviate them. Not to mention the precise data to back up his years of research. This book both functions as an invaluable reference, but also flows like a well written novel. It keeps you wanting more! I am not a scientist, nor a doctor, but i am a teacher of Kundalini Yoga and use this information constantly. It contains the most common issues my students present & is a lifesaver for anyone looking to TAKE ACTION towards health and happiness.
My husband & I had to purchase a second copy as we both consistently use it. In laymen's terms David Shannenhoff-Khalsa provides you with "the whole ball of wax!"
This book is for EVERYONE desiring a way to alleviate the aforementioned challenges, be it for themselves, their patients or their loved ones.

Babbers my chow dog accidently pushed me down on my cement driveway. I hit my face hard causing extreme pain making my nose and eyes to swell. Then suddenly I noticed that my bleeding cute knee hurt and my back. I then grabbed my Uri Geller crystal and forced myself up thinking magicial positive thoughts like: "It doest't Hurt" over and over. Uri Geller's Mind Medicine is truly one of the most important purchases of my adult life. Uri is a clearly a gifted and blessed man who has an almost shocking and genuine care for humanity. I found this book to be a most positive influence on my own daily life and my interactions with othe people. One of the most profound and powerful experiences I have know is a particular pasrt of the book where Uri invites you to pray along with him for individuals who you have hurt or been hurt by. After ordering three of Uri Gellers Books from Amazon , I awaited delivery with great anticipation and was I thrilled when they came. The Mind Medicine book is FAB! It is a well written and well laid out book with stunning photo's and chapters that make you really think '' I CAN heal myself!''. Written clearly without any 'Psycho-babble' it is a great thought envoker.

Delivered along with Uri's 'Little book of Mind-Power' I am looking forward to focusing my energies inwards rather than outwards and also I shall enjoy reading my third book - Jonathan Margolis' boigraphy 'Uri Geller - Magician or Mystic '.. I can't wait to see what the future will bring !

I bought this book after attending one of Dr. Muscolino's cadaver lab workshops. I highly recommend this book and, if you are thinking about a cadaver workshop, I recommend that as well. Dr. Muscolino is very knowledgeable, caring and sensitive.

This book is great- between the detailed illustrations, the extensive lists of muscle functions and the breakdown of why the muscle does what it does, it really helped me to learn. The only think I didn't love is the order the muscles are listed in, in my brain they would have been logically grouped together a bit differently, especially when it comes to trunk muscles.

It is nice to find a book dedicated to the muscular system. Although the graphics are simple (not photographic), the information and the lay out are great for learning and understanding of the muscles. The best pages in this book are those that lay out the muscular attachments of a region of the body.

Highly recommended for anyone that works in any field where the muscles are the focus!

Dr. Joseph E. Muscolino truly compiled the ultimate Musculoskeletal system anatomy textbook.

I esspicially found the Latin and Greek derivation section's to be very helpful in understanding the origins of the muscle names.

This author's logic and approach is unmatched.

This book is comprehensive in nature, scrupulous in detail, and the product of an obvious passion for the wealth of information to be found in our musculoskeletal system. As a massage therapist and perpetual student of the human body, I am glad to add this book to my library. It is well organized which makes it easy to reference whether I know the muscle, the bony landmark, or the general anatomical area of the body. Having so much information about an individual muscle in one book makes it easy to enhance or refresh my existing knowledge. I have opened the book just to refresh my knowledge of what an individual muscle looks like and found the illustrations clear. I have used the cross reference to find other muscles that might be adding to an existing muscular problem in a client. I have refreshed my awareness of an individual muscle by using the easy to follow palpation information. And I have added to my knowledge of individual muscle actions when helping a client isolate a muscle's tightness. Every time I have opened the book I have not been overwhelmed by what I do not know but rather come away feeling smarter.

This is simply a beautiful book. Much good work has been done to help connect people and plants and we delight in that. Eliot looks beyond the physical plant you see and gifts you with the feeling of connection with Plant Spirits. Thank you Eliot. Many who read this book with an open heart will come through the door you have opened. We are ready to help - ready to heal.

Well written, full of passion and honesty. Cowan takes a leap of faith with courage in hopes that others will learn the connectedness of all, and the simplicity it takes to honor our most prescious resources, "OUR FAMILY". Well worth the read, and please; share it with others!

Plant Spirit Medicine speaks of the elements of nature, the plants, shamanism, and healing. Cowan's integrity, wisdom and humor is apparent throughout. I first read this book 7 years ago. It changed my life, opening me up to a world where healing, love and compassion are always flowing from the plants and other aspects of nature. This book speaks of one man's journey and opens the doors to allow you to make your own journey and find your own path.

As I read this book I kept getting goose bumps as the author told story after story of plant spirits healing various maladies. It made me want to go out and commune with the nearest plant! You'll find everything you need to get started on your plant spirit healing journey, but it will take the rest of your life to fully understand it, if ever. The author clearly comes from deep knowledge and experience of ancient healing secrets that are all but lost in the modern world.

Between this book and "The Secret Life of Plants" by Christopher Bird, I'll never think of plants the same way again. They are indeed sentient beings and we can develop a profound relationship with them, a relationship that can bring us healing at a very deep level. Even if you are not interested in the healing aspect, this book will shift your reality. It is well written, entertaining, and powerful.

I have been reading and practicing these medicines for some time. I am also studying ethnobotany and plant medicine in relation to psychopathology. I picked up this book as a supplement to my work, and I did not expect that it would be so good. I would recommend this book to ANY person interested in this subject- whether they are totally new to it, or have been doing it for decades.
Cowan clearly and eloquently provides his take on this subject, and does a very good job explaining the basics. But he writes with a gentle tone, and makes plant spirit medicine something that everyone can do. This book isn't trying to sell anything or promote a workshop or healing modality. This really does provide some genuine insights on how to communicate with plants and use them for healing.
Eliot Cowan is right on with this book. You won't be disappointed.

If you ever get a disease and the total runaround from doctors, it is common for you to be totally frustrated. We have the worst medical system in the world and the most expensive. When profit runs the show, we lose out. READ THIS BOOK AND WEEP.

This powerful book is a shocking testimony to the power of the lobby - and money. The FDA, FTC, and AMA - those who we believe to be protecting us - have their thumb over the cure for many, many diseases including cancers. Every TV journalist/news reporter should be diving into this book and running with the information. This is a matter of life and death. Well written, researched, and presented.

What "strains credibility" is the fact that Mr. Beatty could have read this book and come up with an editorial like this!!!!

I am fully, mentally capable of reading Mr. Haley's book and seeing documented proof of the travesties which have been committed against wonderful people who are doing phenomenal jobs of trying to help and save people. In turn, these people are villified and crucified by government agencies and professional associations who do not want people to recover from diseases--they want to hear the cha-ching in their collective coffer (to the tune of HOW MUCH MONEY????). I truly resent the fact that an American of average intelligence can read this book and easily figure out what's going on, but the person writing the editorial can "read" this book (if he did!) and make the ridiculous comments he did! The customer reviews here tell the REAL story! Ignore the editorial bunk! It makes you really sick to find out what these people, who are trying to earn an honest living, have had to put up with. My heart goes out to all of them for what they have had to go through. I have followed through with research on several of these people so far, and can say that it is worth your while to further research these people, and obtain additional reading on them. Again, a heartfelt thank you to these martyrs who go with their conscience and don't fold up in the face of all the adversity they have faced and continue to face, and a big, fat RASPBERRY to Mr. Beatty!!!!!

Hasn't anyone read this book in 2008?? Where are the recent reviews? Some of the other reviews try to find minor flaws (author recommends some should have got a Nobel Prize, etc..)but what is amazing to me is how the system really works. Like the former president of the AMA that never treated a patient & flunked his boards, yet he rules the country's health care club & throws out a non-toxic cure that works? I have seen the 60-Minutes video clips of Mike Wallace, these things happened. Get it & see for yourself is all I'll say. It contains things you can use today to avoid getting your name on an early death certificate.

If you or someone you love has tics or Tourette's and are interested in natural remedies, this book is a MUST READ. Rogers walks us through the process of identifying what triggers the tics and deciding what treatment to try. One size does not fit all - she helps us figure out what our individual problem areas are, using questionnaires and checklists. She spends a lot of time talking to parents with affected children. She acknowledges that some changes will be difficult, such as dietary changes, but she stresses involving the whole family. The book is done in a very readable style - no page long sentences or words you can't pronounce! The real life stories of 11 families was a highlight for me, as well as the memory-assisting review boxes at the end of each chapter.

"Natural Treatments for Tics and Tourette's" is a wonderful and indispensable guide for parents of children with neurological disorders such as Tics, Tourett's syndrome, OCD or ADHD. It's very informative and contains step by step alternative and very effective medical treatments any family can implement at home. It is also very well organized and cientifically documented with current research articles. It also provides a list of supportive publications and organizations. This book is easy to read and has been a great resource in our family.

Sheila Rogers has released a new edition/book titled: "Natural Treatments for Tics and Tourette's: A Patient and Family Guide"

This book is a comprehensive educational resource on natural and alternative treatments for tics and Tourette's. After reading this book and learning so much about alternatives to prescription medications, it really gives hope & encouragement that one day you might find the right natural course of treatment to help you or your loved one with tics. Thanks to the extensive research and information presented in this book, people suffering from tics have been given an opportunity to explore a wide variety of natural and alternative methods that others have found successful. This book is a MUST READ...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!
