There are many theories about how our bodies work, and this one is about the best I've read. My doctors don't accept that
my thyroid has anything to do with all my problems, but it was good to read that I may be able to solve some of my maladies.
I have been suffering for years with joint pain and have type2 diabetes. By the end of a day, I am exhausted. I am not finished
reading yet, but look forward to feeling better real soon.

I have not had the chance to read the book yet, but am looking forward to reading it when the kids go back to school in a
few weeks.

I commend practitioners whom encourage self-education and teamwork as they have been of great value in my road to recovering
optimal health. Dr. Shames has been around a long time and has been committed to treating thyroid issues continually through
the years. You can buy your supplements and get your testing anywhere you want. The point is, take action and empower yourself
in every way possible until you find what works. It is a good addition to the thyroid books that are out there and it has
helped me refine my knowledge in ways that has brought progress to my search for control over Hashimoto's.

This book is a joke, it simplifies the complexities of endocrine problems. You're better off going to a "real doctor" than
waste your time and money reading this book! Its recommendations are dangerous, encouraging self medication with alternative
supplements; and silly, "Don't watch stressful movies if you have adrenal problems". Do yourself a favor and pass on this
book.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and other metabolic problems years ago and have read a lot of books on the subject. This
was the first one to really explain the relationships between the hormones in a way I could understand. So many people don't
realize if you have one hormonal problem, there are probably others that may not be showing obvious symptoms. This book helps
the average person make the connections.
Before, the doctors were treating the different problems separately. This book put me on the right track. It enabled me to ask better questions and to be a more informed patient. At my last appointment, my doctor told me I had really done my homework and that would make working together easier. The credit goes to this book more than any other.
It's not perfect, and there are a few over generalizations, but those small annoyances are worth it for the wealth of information in this book.
It has a permanent place on my keeper shelf
